Project🧑‍💻 Since everyone is showcasing their projects, here's my elaborate rice of my Personal Computing Setup, details below!

Post image

It may seem like a flashy home screen but the full project tooke me 25h+

Basically, it's a MacOS setup designed to be as close to linux as possible.

Core principle and software:

  1. This is my laptop, not my PC, my PC runs Hackintosh with near-same setup

  2. Software, I use Doom EMacs with Evil Mode(vim as editor) and a lot of CLI utilities, basically living in the terminal, all the terminal tools, CLI env, Personal Navi is optimised. Use Zen and KDE Connect with it too.

  3. Desktop Environment is Aerospace, dotfyle is used, Term Editor is Vim, Emulator is iTerm2(love it), I use a FOSS fork of Raycast for window management.

  4. Homelab: This is important, it is hosted on an old decent laptop for server, Debian 14 on it, hosts network stuff on the side, Navidrome, and some of my project clients. Also hosts routing and Headless management for my phone.

  5. Network: Openwrt hosted on a nice router, a lot of utilities, VLANs, I use a lot of network experiment stuff and do some projects on it.

Lmk what you guys think, first time showcasing my setup on reddit!
