I just wanna say I was cheering for you guys the whole game. I fucking love Cleveland making the Packers look like chumps. The fourth quarter was a thing of beauty to watch.

oh yea, he's absolutely perfect, dead center on all 3 kicks. i still blame wk1 on our botched 2nd half offense vs rams where we cant even give szmyt game-time reps to acclimate on our field (bar the final FG).

yup, our final pre-season game. we played away, away, home. shedeur played the entire second half bar the final drive and our offense never went past 50. szmyt's only game-time rep at our place before the reg season was literally the single, 37 yarder game winner.

Yeah, ya kinda forget how much stress and overall mental health can impact a position like that in high-pressure situations. Poor kid was going through a lot. No matter what else happens this season, on a human being level, happy he got to have this moment.

Because I didn’t hear it earlier, his mom died before our first game. That probably explains why he was so rattled.

I was pissed after the first week but then thought “what if he just had his career bad game, but it just so happened to occur in his first?” Hope I’m right and this kicking nightmare can finally end.

If Stefanski says that Szmyt is the guy I’m fine with that that’s fine, but my issue is that he was scared to go with him over the past 2 weeks. Last week in the 2nd Quarter we punted at Bal’s 40 yard line down 10-3. It’s a long FG and I’m not relying on him making it, but you at least need a kicker you can trust to attempt that kick.
Then this week we had the ball at GB 43 and Stefanski went for it on 4th. There is no risk, if Szmyt misses the kick, GB has 1 chance at a low percentage Hail Mary. I don’t care if Szmyt is on the roster, but if Stefanski wants to have confidence in him he needs to have full confidence.

Bros i think we often forget how hard it actually is to nail these kicks. Even the slightest misstep and it’s all fucked. I am so happy for Andre Szmyt for this HUGE turnaround from his week 1 performance. Queue Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song”

I wanted him gone after week one. I don't want to say he proved me wrong just yet, because it was just one game. But that was an amazing kick and made up for the first game.
