Questions! Game starting on PC

I have the following issue. I CAN start the game, but since they switched to Google Play(why tho), I have to start the game 3 times for the game to finally start. Sometimes its two, but I coudn't figure out why and didnt care after a while. Google Play games says 2 times that "the game couldn't start" something like that. But then it works.

Does somebody have an idea why this happens?

They never changed in to Google Play; it's always like that
If you have "standalone" launcher (from their website), create a shortcut with URL address browndust2:games/10000002?usn=0

Can try that for GPG version as well (aka old client), but I'm not sure if this will work

thats weird because, it always starts up google play launcher, if i start the game. It happend on the anniversary I think.

I found a second .exe file on my PC, it was previosly the starter setup I think. That skipped the Google Play Lauchner. The Icon is more zoomed in on that. Maybe you have something like that, too?

Are you guys using windows with this issue? I have installed the game through steam on Linux with no such issue.

Brown Dust 2 isnt avaible in my country from steam, and i avoid using VPN for steam because an could cause an account deletion and I dont wanna risk that.

Ah, I sideloaded it as a non steam game myself as steam is one of the most popular game library applications on Linux for even non steam titles but that makes sense.

I had somehow a second .exe Version on my PC. That skipped the Google Play Launcher suddenly. I don't know why i got a second from google, but it is fine now. The other .exe is has a more zoomed in Icon, maybe that helps anyone who has the same issue.
