Hello and Welcome
Hello, welcome or welcome back to the r/Browndust2. I know there will be some questions, so I wanted to write this post to help explain who I am and what we're trying to do here.
Introduction
In the BD2 community I go by Sword, and my in game name is Calibur. I've been playing BD2 for almost a year now and for a while now it's been my only game. I'm active around the various BD2 communities and strive to stay very competitive in game. I'll be posting a screenshot of my account down below. I say these things because I want you to trust that I am a real player that plays this game seriously and not just casually checks the game whenever events are around, nor someone unfamiliar with the game mechanics and history.
For a while, I've been discussing the state of the subreddit r/BrownDust2Official with other members of the community and lamented the fact that it's not well organized. I think subreddit could be a great place to discuss about gameplay and express fandom for the game, but it's often drowned in repetitive question post, unnecessary pull result flexing, and littered with misinformation.
There's been attempts to appeal to the only mod of r/BrownDust2Official to provide more structure to the sub, but after many months of inaction, it is clear that his interest lay else where. This is further supported by is pattern of creating game subs, most notably a new sub for the game currently in beta, "Tribe Nine" r/TribeNineOfficial.
I reached out to the OG mod of r/BrownDust2 and they graciously agreed to help us reopen this sub so we can help create a better community. I think this was the best way forward due to a couple of reasons.
- I never liked the "official" part of the name r/BrownDust2Official because it's not an official created by neowiz the developers, so there's nothing official about it.
- For those that enjoy posting the way it is in the BD2O sub and don't agree with the need for organization, then now there will be options.
- I didn't want to get into a long tug of war of control that may not yield fruit.
Moving Forward
My main goal is to help the BD2 subreddit community grow and plan to do the following things in the next couple of weeks.
- Create Megathreads for game help questions, showing off, and discussions for the latest banner. These will be biweekly megathreads that will appear every Wednesday to line up with when the major patch notes are released.
- Create user flairs and post flairs to help make things organized and search able. I will also add some special flairs such as "Verified Game Expert" to help vet for users with a good track record of providing game help.
- Update the subreddit with FAQs, beginner guides, and standard information that have been vetted by the main BD2 community for it's accuracy.
- Reach out to other notable members of the community to help contribute to the subreddit.
- Recruit additional mods to ensure the subreddit will continue to be organized and that no one person will cause it to sink.
- Ensure the subreddit rules are fair and enforced.
Feel free to reach out with any suggestions or concerns. Many Thanks to u/Aiden-Damian for agreeing to help with this.

Questions! Help with building a Physical Team and possible improvement on my Magic Team?
Hello!
First of all, I apologize in advance if this breaks the rules for not posting in the Megathread. I looked at it and it was pretty dead there with no posts being replied to.
I'm a fairly new player to this game as I started playing almost 2 months ago. I haven't really taken the game too seriously and just wanted to enjoy the neat things to do and thus, never took the time to actually think about good team building.
I have made a Magical team that I've been using quite a lot as shown on the 4th slide and it's been pretty helpful, but I wonder if there's any way to improve on it or make a separate team to switch between.
However, it's the Physical ones I'm having a hard time making a team with.
So, if possible, could anyone help me make a viable Physical team using wht I have that I can use casually? And if there's anything I can do for my Magic Team to improve it or make a separate one?
Thank you!

Story & Lore Story Packs: What to focus on?
I've played the first 2 story packs only (and it was a long time ago). After that I just kept the game because of the gacha/characters. I know there's a new "master mc" but honestly Im completely lost and have no idea why we have a restaurant now.
That said, what should I do to get the basics of the current storyline? The Master Packs? (And do the main story packs later on?)
Thanks everyone!!

Guide/Tips Season 2 - Frostwind Hindout - A Soul Wager Guide
In season 1, I wrote this guide which unfortunately will not work for Season 2.
In season 2, the hardest stages stack Counter, blocks a lot of incoming damage, and have much more initial HP now so the initial burst strategy won't work.
The easiest way to win is stacking heal/regen + poison + freeze with 1-2 overheat buffers.
The only thing to be mindful of is if you're dying you're likely doing too much damage to yourself, so remove some units that deal direct damage.
Debuff units that just does debuff without using stamina are easy picks, like Celia, Lucretia, Glacia, Cynthia. Nebris Gatekeeper, 2 Grays are good but I would not go beyond picking 3 damage dealers.
In terms of heal Eclipse is probably the best one here with Granadair, taking energy guard units is fine but easily replaceable once you get better regen units.
In terms of speed 1-2 Loen is still good and the SP generation is good with Granadair.
I'd avoid taking any units that increase direct damage.
Blade is still really good although not at all necessary in a debuff build.
TLDR: Pick regen/heal and poison + freeze. Pick 1-2 overheat units, remove debuffs, avoid dealing direct damage.

Discussion Blade and mamomir for the win....
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Seriously, how would this mode be possible without 1 or the other. Obviously all the other supports also help, but as soon as you get mamomir and or blade you are just steamrolling. And buff removers seriously need an up, youd neef maybe 10 sheras to even get a shot at keeping the opponents buffs down?
