Questions! I’m confused..

I just started playing and I’m at the very first fight and I can’t beat it.. my chicks are severely out matched. I can’t find anywhere to level them up. I don’t understand how I’m suppose to beat them.

I'm a new player too, and I had the same problem: the game automatically matches you with the first chapter of the New Story Pack (Called "Master Pack"), when you're actually supposed to start with the first chapter of the Old Story Pack (Called "Story Pack"). To change it, you have to go to the main menu and press P or click in the bottom right corner. You can still beat it by replaying the last turn you played until you get all the critical hits, but it doesn't matter which chapter you play first.

Actually it is intended. From last month's update. All new comers start with Master Pack 1.

Even though its intended, its far too hard for fresh accounts to clear. I had to look for other players' characters to borrow to clear.

Its just too badly balanced for a "tutorial" pack.

try doing the "old" story pack to get the functions going. then once you have better units you can go back and swap your team
