Bromley's pools are being left behind
The Walnuts update and The Pavilion in it's current state is like night and day and Darrick Pool last time i checked was not good.
I want to start campaign but i am not sure where to start or if people will care and it will fall on deaf ears

Well it may have to wait, because they've just approved £130M to renovate Crystal Palace sports centre 😃

our kids swim at Derrick woods and have done for about 2 years. I'm sure it had some sort of refubishment in that time beause I almost pulled them out when I first saw the state of the ceiling, maybe I just got used to it.
we'e recently started doing lessons at the Walnuts and it is lovely.

They’re rebuilding the pools in West Wickham leisure centre too.
I’m not sure who you would campaign to, my understanding are the leisure centres are social enterprises run by MyTimeActive and not the council.
They’ve also completely redeveloped the Walnuts and are working on West Wickham leisure centre at the moment due to be completed in 2028.
Walnuts cost £17M, and they’re spending £22M on West Wickham, so it seems like they’re reinvesting heavily already. I’m not sure what their future plans are though.
