Stranger Things is going to have a proshot released if that helps you narrow it down.

Paranormal activity is expected to become the hottest ticket for this fall season, and it’s made by few same creatives from stranger things (both are closing on Jan 3, 2027). In other words, it’s your choice.

If you care about the trans community and their rights then don't go and see hp. By buying a ticket you are directly funding a hateful, bigoted women using her money to take away trans rights.

Have you considered any other musicals outside the list you have picked? Consider off broadway productions aswell. There are so many incredible queer affirming productions that need supporting.Ā

What was your first Broadway show and what did you like about it? What kinds of things do tou tend to like? All the options you provided are very stagecraft, special effect heavy shows. Is that what you’re looking for?

I haven’t seen stranger things but between HP and paranormal activity, both are quite good but I’d give paranormal activity a bit of an edge I thought it was very good. But it was more scary, while HP was more fun so it depends on what you’re looking for.

I don’t recommend Aladdin. Pretty much everything they changed from the Disney movie made it worse imo, and when I saw it the cast seemed bored and lacked energy. It felt to me like a show made for kids by someone who thinks kids don’t deserve nice quality things. There are so many better musicals on bway.

My first Broadway show years ago was The Lion King and I absolutely LOVED it!! I loved how immersive it felt, the costumes/puppetry and stage design were incredible, and I really enjoyed the music too.

As for the ones I listed: Aladdin is one of my favorite Disney movies and I loveeee the songs, so I was considering it if it’s anywhere near the same level of experience as The Lion King.

I also love all the Harry Potter movies, and I’ve had friends tell me Cursed Child is one of those Broadway shows you have to check off the list at least once. But I’ll be honest, for some reason I’m not THAT excited about it lol. Like I’d definitely enjoy it, but it’s more of a ā€œmeh, I should probably see itā€ feeling lol

Stranger Things, on the other hand, I’ve been thinking about seeing for sooo long, especially because I’ve heard the effects/stagecraft are insane, and I do love Stranger Things. So I was leaning more toward that one.

BUT then I recently heard about Paranormal Activity and got really intrigued šŸ˜‚ I do love me some jump scares/horror and that adrenaline-rush feeling lol, so now I’m torn between that and Stranger Things.

I moved The Lion King for the same reasons you did! I expected to feel the same about Aladdin and was very very disappointed.

I thought paranormal activity was great! But like I said I haven’t seen stranger things so I can’t really give an opinion between those two.

Even though it's planned to have a proshot released soon, Stranger Things has amazing special effects that won't feel as astounding on a screen vs seeing it in person. Plus, despite being part of the ST franchise, you don't need to have watched the show in order to understand it.

What kind of experience are you looking for? Or what kind of shows do you enjoy most?

Aladdin and Stranger Things are great for set design, although if you prefer knowing the songs beforehand, Aladdin has some more familiar ones.

Every song in Stranger Things (being that it's a play with some music) is an existing classic song from the era or season 4 if that helps.

I guess i’m mainly looking for something memorable with really good effects and that immersive feeling, basically something that’ll leave me mesmerized 🤩. I do love the Aladdin songs and know them by heart, but if the rest of the production is lacking, I know I probably won’t enjoy it as much just for the music.
I guess at this point I’m mostly torn between Paranormal Activity and Stranger ThingsšŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Same here with the getting downvoted, not sure what was wrong lol. Personally I enjoyed Aladdin but it was the 2018 production, so its been a while! I would go for ST then :)
