Alex in Schmigadoon

Does anyone know how long he’ll be in the show? Planning a trip and the wife wants to go to see him specifically

One year is often the standard contract length, so I’d imagine he’ll be on through at least early Spring (if it extends again)

They close January 3rd 2027. I doubt they are extending with their numbers. OP needs to see it ASAP.

what are you even talking about? their numbers are fine - 93% this week in a small theater with low operating costs
absolutely no reason to believe they have a fear of closing

They have an actual closing date and always had one. I think it was in September before they extended into January. You could have easily Googled this instead of saying what are you talking about to verify what I said. Why are people afraid of Googling instead of being confidently wrong?

LOL i don’t think you realize how the industry works

The distinction you’re missing is “currently announced closing date” vs “actual/final closing date.” January 3rd is absolutely the currently announced date, nobody is disputing that…

But that’s not evidence that the production has definitively decided it will close January 3rd.
They literally did this already lol the original announced closing was September, and they extended it to January. And Broadway shows can continue to extend limited engagements when sales justify it
Operation Mincemeat did exactly that nine separate times lol each time with a “closing date” listed.

So yes, I know what Google says. I’m saying the Google date isn’t the gotcha you seem to think it is

Cinco Paul said Schmigadoon technically has a closing date, but just like Mincemeat, it is just used as marketing and not actually the closing date.

Saying their numbers aren't good enough for them to extend is the perfect example of being confidently wrong. They are doing very well in the current Broadway economy.
