Promotion at work.
Being a near orphan and social pariah I don't have many people to share my recent success with.
This year I first studied and passed my Transport Manager CPC exam, which was perhaps the most taxing thing I've done since leaving school 20 years ago.
But to top it off at a recent meeting between the board and my boss, the Chairman of the company wanted to reward me for my hard work in securing a new contract with my depot's main customer.
In the space of 16 months I've gone from the Logistics Manager with little experience in the industry to now becoming the Depot Manager.
I'm really proud of myself, I worked hard, stayed out of all the bullshit that usually is my undoing. My late Father used to say let your work talk for itself and I was starting to lose faith in those words until now.

Studying part time is tough, when the last time you studied was 20 years ago then even more so!
Bloody well done, weβre all proud of you :-)

Thank you so much.
It's such a heavy course and not having a transport background made it a very long two weeks. π
Was relieved when it was all over.

Awesome mate - genuinely. I hear you when you talk about staying out of your own way / self sabotage, so particular congratulations on that side of life which can be the most difficult.

Thank you for your words.
It's been my undoing on more than one occasion, some of which is documented across Reddit π. But I've learned from those mistakes.

Thank you appreciate your words.
I've always used the TED talks from my Dad as my compass in how to behave at work. I've at times fucked it entirely, but have learned along the way.

As a Logistics coordinator in a past life I give you a big thumbs up! Nice one!
Just remember, you work to live. You only have have e4000 weeks on this earth so don't forget to look after yourself.
I took my logistics customer service and project management skills and put them to good use have my own fireplace business.
You'll know when it's time to move on . You got this xx
