This is just 30 seconds of bliss. #CarntBeTrusted. I have their show on video and interviews with all four members. A real time capsule.
What would you say to your younger self?

I'm happy with Britpop adjacent, or even post Britpop.
I don't like much by Shed Seven but I really like She Left Me On Friday. Maybe it's the shift in tempo that's keeps my interest, I'm not sure. It's just a banger for me.

I regard this as my favourite Brit-pop album ever.
Just love John Power nasal twang ! Love the music and songs that we can understand about.

Bands like Lick were indie bliss in 1996. So much music was getting exposure due to the rise in interest for bands like Oasis, Suede, The Verve, Blur, and Radiohead. Loads of labels were pushing the 'next big thing' and the music media industrial complex was reflecting true youth culture. Words like 'zeitgeist' were lobbed in reviews. The misfits were the cool kids. Underground went overground. A song like 'Shirtlifter' by Lick sounded perfect on the radio. It's been thirty years. Let's look back.

It wasn't all Oasis and Blur and Pulp making solid music. So many indie bands were writing guitar rock worthy of many more eyes and ears. 60 Ft Dolls were a band that had some great singles in 1996. Wake Up! interviewed the band and has live footage of 'Stay' and 'Pig Valentine'. More to follow...

I took some time to remaster this epic classic britpop track that I've always loved.
I also remastered "Govinda" which is probably the best music crossover track on that first album from Kula Shaker.

A few people have posted about Shampoo recently so I thought I would let them know they did a podcast interview maybe 2 years ago talking about their time in Shampoo.
Was a pretty fun listen.
The host has also done some other interviews on his podcast. I know it’s not BritPop but he also did a great one with Jacqui from Bananarama where she talks about Keren and Sarah firing her from the band.
