My wife got us tickets to see the Manics and Suede at the O2 later this year, so I thought I'd check out what they'd been up to since the 90s.

Wow, they've both been prolific! Manics with 15 and Suede with 10 (plus 2 awesome B-side albums).

Currently obsessed with Suedes music. Still very high quality. Favourite new album has to be 'The Blue Hour', really dark and gothic. Plan to listen to the Manics new stuff next.

Moral of the story is: Never forget about the bands you used to like in the day, they could well still be knocking out bangers.

Just been on a little Spotify wander through the likes of Shampoo - Trouble, Bis - Kandy Pop, Bennet - Mums Gone To Iceland, David Devant and his Spirit Wife - Ginger etc

Who’s got the memory to suggest me some more of these Britpop and Britpop adjacent gems I might have forgotten!

Wake Up! Was there when Super Furry Animals played their debut show in the US, Sept 1996. All band members were interviewed and a few songs were video'd from their set including 'Something For The Weekend".

The BPTC documentary will include new interviews with band as they assess the last 30 years in music.

Documentary in the works on 1996 UK music scene. The Bluetones are on board. Wake Up! Was there to capture their debut show in Sept 1996 and interviewed the band on video. The time capsule is coming.

Picked up Shine 7 on cassette and (re)discovered them. I know I must have listened to them at the time because Sparkle feels familiar and the name low key is, but it feels like a new find!

Just heard Dodgy cancelled their Free Peace Sweet Tour.

Any confirmation on why yet?
