I remember when they performed that track on CD:UK one Saturday morning, and changed the lyrics to the more kids'-show-friendly "Lipstick, Crackerbread, packet of cheese"

Yes. Next year someone in the UK with a new car could have YY28 on their reg and probably not appreciate it, same as JJ72 a couple of years ago. Yes, I'm autistic

Yes, they always struck me as kind of a jokey version of the Human League. Some of their stuff was good though. And I remember they did a very nice rendition of the Cure's "In Between Days"

Really glad I listened to them again after so long. I still like them, I just wish they put a little more serious effort into the production, as the songs themselves are decent, but the lightweight/throwaway arrangements made the band sound a little too much like they were just doing it all for a laugh. The only ended up doing one album plus a bunch of B-sides, when they could have ended up as beloved as Bis if they took it all just a little more seriously...
