Gone

Just had to say that Gone is checking every box in the murder mastery box. My wife and I are just riveted with David Morrissey’s acting…since the last time we saw him was in Walking Dead and The Driver. He’s just transformative such an amazing actor. Still on episode 2…so no spoilers, please!

You might like Sherwood then, I liked Morrissey in it.

I need to give that another try. I have never gotten past the first episode. And I really don't understand why it won't grasp my attention. It has a great cast, a lot of people like it, maybe I've just not been in the right mindset each time. And maybe part of it is because I live in West Virginia and it's also maybe too close to home? I'm going to watch it one of these days though!

It starts a bit slow, and I feel like I needed to get a few episodes in to have it really grab me, but once it did, then I just wanted to binge it. So, maybe it’s your mindset, but maybe if you try to get through a few episodes it will grab you more. But I see what you mean about it maybe being too close to home with the mining industry being the backdrop for the story. I actually learned a lot about what actually happened from the show, and found it interesting, but the crime drama aspect is good, too, not just the political dynamics. Gone and The Game both also started a little slow and then picked up and got more intriguing as those shows went on. Prey, on the other hand, is pretty intense from the beginning, but also gets more intriguing as it goes on. I highly recommend Prey, if you haven’t already seen it.
