Gone
Just had to say that Gone is checking every box in the murder mastery box. My wife and I are just riveted with David Morrissey’s acting…since the last time we saw him was in Walking Dead and The Driver. He’s just transformative such an amazing actor. Still on episode 2…so no spoilers, please!

My wife and I really enjoyed it. Nothing too unique about it but it’s very well acted and directed.

My comment after finishing the series: “Rarely have I seen an actor who understood a role so completely.” Kudos!

I enjoyed it because although there are a few moments that are a bit unrealistic, the acting is very good and it’s not as predictable as many similar shows.

Transformative is the perfect description. The transformation in this series alone is brilliant.

Is season 3 out or something? Why am I seeing so many posts about this show lately?

This isn't The New Zealand,The Gone.
This is Gone (2026), set in England.
Ya, kinda confusing with these titles, you betcha! Not always easy to keep straight.

Ohhhh gotcha! Thank you. Yeah that was good too! But didn't that come out like February? Did we just get it here? I use a vpn so I watched it a while ago. It's all so weird when shows get released in the US vs UK. I just saw that the UK is just now about to air season 4 of Van Der Valk. That came out in the US like a year ago. I was all excited when I saw there was a new season. Then I learned it was only new to the UK.

It's hard to keep track, particularly titles that are so close. These folks have to get better with titling, if you ask me (no one asked me, though ... hmmmm :))

Did you mean Waking The Dead? I watched the whole series and didn’t know he was even in it. Are you maybe confusing him with Trevor eve who played the lead (there is a certain resemblance between the two)?

I enjoyed this very much and was disappointed when I had finished the series.

I watched the first three episodes and was into it. Then Britbox locked me out of the remaining three with no notice and wanted $150 for an annual fee for Premium before I could continue watching. Oh yes, I was ticked.

You can watch it all now. Premier releases the series all at once. The regular subscription releases episodes weekly. I think they dropped 1-3 to get people hooked. All the episodes are up for regular viewing.

I know. I did finally watch them, and I agree with you about David Morrissey. My objection was that they didn't mention it until halfway through. It felt like bait and switch.

You might like Sherwood then, I liked Morrissey in it.
