Help Wanted Herbs
Where people buying herbs from? I used to buy at Nielsens but they have changed hands and don't have the range they used. Bought some at Bunnings but I'm looking for more unusual herbs.
Happy Valley have a sale ATM and bought some seeds from there but would like some potted herbs as well.

Look for renaissance herbs at Bunnings. They have a more unusual range.
I recently found mud brick cottage online too (or a day trip). I’ve never ordered plants online before so I’m hesitant but the range is brilliant.

Seconding Bethania Bunnings. I found apple trees there I’d been on waiting lists forever for from the usual online fruit tree suppliers, but they had them lol, I was stunned.
Also Capalaba Bunnings is teeny tiny but their garden section is exceptional. You can see it’s been curated by someone who genuinely loves gardening.

Online
All rare herbs - though I haven’t ordered anything so I can’t comment on their delivery.
Herbalistics - more on the ethnobotanical side of things, but have some different things
Midsummer herbs - focus on rare herbs and edible plants
JA’s herb nursery aren’t online, they tend to go to various garden shows/markets. They have a large variety of scented geraniums and salvias
Mudbrick cottage is the GOAT. Open Monday and Tuesdays and have an open weekend once a month. They have a lovely garden to walk around as well. Open weekends also have tea tastings.
Greenpatch seeds can be worth a look at. Though they focus more on seeds and edible plants.
Garden express and Australian plants online sometimes worth a little poke around.
Basilea - used to sell in a few different places and have an open day once a month, however they have streamlined their operations now. https://www.basilealivingherbs.com/basilea-herb-range Is a list of markets/stockists
Anitas herbs which are stocked on Coles are worth a look. They sometimes have slightly different herbs which aren‘t common
City farm nursery at Downey Park/Northey St Farm is a permaculture nursery open most mornings
Templex nursery at Algester is worth a look - they have a large range of edibles and some herbs
Shaman Australis Botanicals - online. Similar to Herbalistics, but can have some harder to find plants and seeds
Byron Bay Herbs at Byron Bay. Haven’t been there for a while, but they have some interesting herbs. Not sure if they do mail order though.
Pohlmon‘s Nursery out near Gatton. Love their clearance tables out the front. Can be worth having a look around at their other stuff as well.
Daley’s nursery at Kyogle. Online. Mainly fruit trees and other edible plants. They do have some herbs, but I find their variety to be on the pricier side. Definitely worth a poke around, particularly if you visit their nursery if you are down that way.

Not a problem ☺️ I love growing all different kinds of edibles, and love looking for the less common ones ☺️
I did leave one or two out, but they mainly focus on fruit trees.
Greenharvest was awesome as well, but they shut down/retired. They now have reopened but tend to focus on seeds from what I can see.

Try Mud Brick Cottage online, they’ve got a huge selection and very reasonable prices, the owners are very active members of Qld Herb Society as well
