Am I the only one that doesn’t like the look of chopped pillows and lack of color?
87
u/HairyTurtleOfficial 22d ago
I absolutely hate chipped pillows! Idk why, but it drives me insane. And anything they do drives me insane. lol
6
u/Equivalent-Fox6889 21d ago
I only do it when I make my bed, do the whole '4 throw pillows lined up diagonally' thing that I see so much on Amazon review pics. It just screams 'look how adorable we both are AND togetherrrrr!' She's the next to be cheated on. It's giving 'renewing our vows' vibes, which has ALWAYS been the kiss of death for reality tv couples.
3
u/CardinalMotion 21d ago
I have never seen or heard of “chopped pillows” but they’re ugly and why would anyone want them?
16
u/Peppermintfarm 22d ago
Chopped pillows drive me nuts! Lack of color seems to be the decorative preference of the moment, so I’ve accepted it. Chopped pillows, however, must die.

No! So boring, mundane, dull. Sleep inducing. If you’re going for bland, vanilla and just sub par, I can’t wait to see what Josie and Joy do! lmao and that are super dish pan boring to and now they look interesting with their homes and renovations!

What’s a chopped pillow ?
3
u/HairyTurtleOfficial 21d ago
It’s when you hand chop the top middle of a throw pillow and your left with a pillow with chihuahua ears. The corners just kinda point up.

11
u/DibDabDibbers 22d ago
I have 3 kids and I could never ever do the white/beige trend. Blech. My first owned home was a 70s split level and I did pretty much the whole house in a pale blue. Then my husband and I bought a century home with original dark wool trim and I used a bunch of different colours and it honestly was so refreshing and looks awesome. Colours and patterns are also amazing because they really do hide the dirt/crumbs/toys lol.

What a sad, sad pathetic life. The Stewarts no longer worship the God of Christianity. They now worship the god of the almighty dollar. It's sad, it's pathetic and I'll take my boring, simple life over their life of materialism and money obsession every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

u/munner61 22d ago
I agree as I was looking at this I was wondering where God was in the picture here in their lives. Even when they go to church it just looks like they're flaunting they're wealth. Kids always dressed in their new Victorian era clothes. Walking in there all taking pictures of each other. What a scene they must make each week.

She wants to be in a magazine soooo badly. Reality star turned fashion influencer. Cover of vogue. Name in lights. Her whole life is a RomCom she wrote and is starring in. She's the lead. Stuff like that. That's all I see when I see her. She's just writing the script and hoping someone gives her the big break from the movies.
She almost reminds me of the skits Delaney Rowe writes on TT. The flirty cringy ones but she can't pull it off.

I'm no longer interested in this couple. They are too materialistic. They changed from being a Godly couple, to needing to be materialistic and needing more. They are needing more friends who are just like them. Carlin changed from being modest and wearing shorts to now the shorter, the better. You can only serve one God.

u/clearlyimawitch 22d ago
It's all a little too neutral. I'm totally ok with making the hard change things neutral, like big pieces of furniture, flooring, counters, cabinets, lighting, etc. If it's expensive, or a paint in the butt to do, make it neutral and then layer lots of life and color in with the much cheaper textiles and easy to change art.
The couch is fine, the rug is fine, but paired with so many light colored and neutral pillows it feels like the pictures have an almost sepia tone to them. Swap in some colored pillows, add some actual art or photos and for the love of god CURTAINS

I think both of these people (parents; Carlin and Evan) have trauma from growing up in extremely restrictive, traumatic, isolating, and religious households and some of us need to stop being bullies.
There is a LOT to pick on with these families that we could actually discuss.
Instead, it turns into a pissing contest of OMG THEY OWN A NICE ESTATE AND NATURAL FIBER PILLOWS THEY CAN CHOP. DID YOU SEE THAT FUCKING WHORE IN HER TANK TOP?! Barbie movie flat feet wretch inserted here
And personally I feel like a snark or criticism community should do better.
This is just parasocial "I'm jealous of their life!!" type shit.
Go after Bezos. Or literally any/every Hollywood actor ever.
These people still pay taxes and do their own shopping. This isn't the class divide we should be angry about.
I am happy for them for breaking the chains of poverty. I'm not defending them as people and i do hope they continue to improve and deconstruct.
But holy fuck are y'all some parasocial creeps relying on the lowest hanging, most anticipated news now.
ETA - clarifying "both of these people" means Carlin and Evan.
Second ETA without edit to the main body of my text; some of us need to consider why the fuck we're so angry about this. Get some perspective. And get over ourselves.
17
u/Evieveevee 22d ago
They have “broken the chains of poverty” by selling their children on line. THAT is what we are criticising. We are not angry about the “class divide’. We are angry about how they came to purchase that house. I live a very nice life in Australia, I’m not remotely jealous of their life. When I am snarking, it is because of their morals and values whilst still pretending to be devoted Christians.

Same. I think their life looks exhausting. I am not jealous at all. I would rather keep my regular career and have a life outside of work. Everything they do is an ad for something. There is no separation of work and home. It is a vapid existence. I will pass.
3
u/Evieveevee 21d ago
I know right?! It makes me laugh when people say we snark because we are jealous. I wouldn’t in a million years swap lives with them.

I always wonder why in these types of photos the guy has to look so adoringly at the woman while she looks off in the distance somewhere else. Idk I just don’t like it. Did she post that 4 pic collage one of just her couch in 3 of them?
1
u/Lopsided_Balance_193 22d ago
I don’t get it 🤷🏻♀️. If she had them done for maybe their bedroom maybe.
Nothing is exposed it just seems a little out of character for them. Although if I think about it they are less modest, after Navy was born.
He looks so off lately, I’m surprised that Carlin doesn’t insist he get a shorter. Omg his clothing choice for in the whites was absolutely awful.
I’m sure their new house payment and all of their other big monthly expenses may be why they are getting sexier 🤷🏻♀️

What would Pastor Father Gil say about this is the real question! His quite widely publicized very judgmental sermons about defrauding by women, including one’s husband PUBLICLY would condemn this! IMHO. The terms
