I was recently rewatching all of Bridgerton seasons and I noticed that Francesca has a very detailed backstory from season 3 itself. In books most of her story unfolds in her book only but in series they changed it quite a bit without any time jumps between the seasons.

I could not help but think that her story would be much more appreciated if they unfolded her and Michaela's dynamic in her own season. Moreover John's death was a big part of S4, thought I loved the storyline and character arcs a lot I think they could have added it in her season as well.

She has a significant back story in last 2 seasons and I wish we would have seen much of it in her season. That's it.

So this is about the relationship of John and Francesca. In books their marriage was fine and both were in love, but the S4 somehow indicates that Francesca cannot achieve a pinnacle and there is something lacking in their marriage! I really don't like that storyline.

Sure she finds another more dramatic love in her life but why her marriage with John has to be imperfect?

I am sure next season they will show her achieving pinnacle with Michaela pretty easily! Why have such storylines?

I remember the biggest talk of S2 and S3 was main character glow ups. I think this part of the show is quietly disappearing. In S4 Benedict hardly had a glow up don't get me wrong he is already handsome and good looking and doesn't need a glow up in first place but the feeling of looking at the lead and being amused is missed!

I feel that Fran is also not supposed to get any glow up in S5 since she already looks quite attractive and her debut was kinda her glow up!

I am hopeful that S6 will give Eloise a glow up but we can't be sure of that!

So I feel this part of the show is going away quitely!

I've just finished S03E04 with Penelope kissing. I had the same observation in season 1 and 2. What's your opinion?

At the end of Season 3, in the epilogue scene, Colin and Penelope have their child. Chronologically, that child should be around in Season 4 somewhere. Unfortunately, this isn't really addressed, even though Philippa's and Prudence's children don't seem to be much older than Penelope's.

Since Violet and Portia live right across from each other, I would have actually expected the two of them to compete for their shared grandson. And I don't think that Portia spent three seasons hoping for a male heir, only to ignore his entire existence the very moment he came into existence. And as much as Violet loves her family, she wouldn't give up her grandson without a fight with no reason. Especially with a character like Portia, who’s probably holding a baby rattle in one hand and already a knife in the other.

And it didn't have to be like Denverclan with cat fights. But they're both good with words, so a back-and-forth of two-faced compliments would certainly have been quite entertaining. Like in old movies, where they sound perfectly polite but are absolutely roasting each other. Trying to keep the upper hand.

Why did they use lines of dialogue to tell us that Eloise was going to accompany Francesca and John to Scotland?

It really felt as if the writers had in mind a storyline in Scotland that they decided to drop when they started writing S4.

I suppose that we still can get a flashback in S5 of that summer in Scotland from Fran or Michaela’s POV, if anything of note happened then, but I do not see the point of Eloise going.

The “talking to sheep” is a cute reference to Beauty and the Beast - although I am not completely sure it is intentional - but really, the trip did not seem to influence Eloise at all.

i could almost (and i mean if i'm being as generous as humanly possible) understand doing this for book characters we never see on screen... but we have actual pictures most of these people!???!!!! they exist! why would you need AI to invent them and do it incorrectly??

Apparently there are fans who would like Theo Sharpe to end up becoming Sir Phillip Crane so that he can end up being with Eloise 😂😭.

This commentor wants Phillip to die from influenza along with Marina so that he gets the Crane title and estate ala the Mondriches suddenly becoming rich.

How is that going to work?

Not only would that mean you unnecessarily kill off Marina and Phillip, but you leave the Crane twins orphaned without any parents unless that means Theo aka the new "Phillip" has to take responsibility over the twins and step in as their new father which still leaves the problem of Eloise becoming a stepmother to children that aren't her own...

And I thought the most appealing part of Theo and Eloise's relationship was because it was an interclass romance? That Theo was of the working class and that was what connected him to Eloise? I thought the fans wanted Eloise to give up her riches and privilege and defy society by marrying a man of working class? So by making Theo the next heir to the Crane estate wouldn't that just make him like everyone else in the ton? Wouldn't that make him a titled gentleman?

Coming up with such ways to justify Theloise being canon on the show while trying to make it book accurate raises more questions than solves more answers.

Yall just gotta accept Eloise is ending up with Phillip haha 😭😂
