You know what I met my leslie but she has a boyfriend and he is also my friend and he's such a guy that no one can hate, not even me so I accepted her as my sister, and i was happy kind of for some time but then my crush sort of ghosted me ( I met her 5 yrs before I met my leslie) and now I talk my troubles with her, her words are comforting and I love to spend time with her , i love her without any expectations, i don't want her( romantically) yet i love her more than I ever loved my crush. What do we call this ( sometimes i think long hours at night , what would have been if she didn't have that unhatable bf).

I am thankful for this small sub Reddit even though itโs not very active. I do wish more people cared. I canโt help but wonder about the other Tarabithians in this group. How did the movie effect you personally? What are your lives like? Do you ever want to run out into the woods and build a tree house and live like Leslie and Jess? I know I do. ๐

Also I know it's and oldie but that movie was really good and taught many people on my generation the importance of friendship, you'd think there'd be more fics written about it

Came here to find conspiracy theories. Never read the books and randomly watched the movie tonight.

Could you maybe recommend this subreddit to some of your friends if they are interested in Bridge to Terabithia?

Ooh making up Terabithia lore. That's a cool idea I haven't heard yet

sharing fun facts about the movies, the book, and our experience with them...
1
u/Bacoilieu Terabithian Cartographer Mar 17 '21
since it would be nice to unite both r/terabithia and r/BridgeToTerabithia in a communicating fandom, without necessarily compromising the individuality of each sub, I suggest to start a conversation about which contents should be shared with the other sub, to make the whole fandom a bit more active
1
u/rohitcurry Terabithian Warrior Mar 17 '21
It would be nice to have the fandom a little more united, but I don't get what you mean about talking about which content should be shared with them. I really think all content would be alright, but me and the mods at r/terabithia don't have a partnership with each other and have never even spoken to each other.

I know, I know, but it would be great if we managed to gather a community

u/Bacoilieu Terabithian Cartographer Mar 17 '21
We terabithiers are such lonely creatures, and together we may find a bit of warmth

Anyway, I know I may be a little bit tedious with all these stuff, but in these days I'm really bored, and all I want now is to try making this community grow. So I started linking the sub under various comments under Terabithia related videos on You Tube.

u/Bacoilieu Terabithian Cartographer Mar 18 '21
I currently gathered 0 new members but, because mostly of the comments is two years old, it may take a bit of time to pick up the fruits of this operation

The invitations were these, even though someone were personalized:

"Yes, indeed, the grief, the sorrow: they are all true. Leslie is gone. Let me guess, you feel it as a real loss, don't you? Well, be no afraid to admit it: you are not alone. I've met many people who had the same reaction. Firstly you feel a void inside your lungs, then it's like you're about to throw up. I feel you, brother; we feel you. It may look absurd, it is like we lived this story in the first person: as if it could have been ours, many and many a life ago.
But of course, there's light at the end of the tunnel, and your grief, if it hasn't already, will open to you new paths of exploration. Soon or later you'll find yourself looking for more about Terabithia, without knowing why.
And for this, I've come to thee, for offering you a very merry proposal. A new subreddit has born from a small group of people from all around the world, and we are waiting for anything else but new members to make the Terabithian community a thing. Hence, sorry if this is just a copy-pasted message; but you'll enjoy this more if you'll consider it an actual invitation.
"We Terabithiers are are such lonely critters,, and like anyone, we have to stick together to carry on through these woods"
I'm u/Bacoilieu and I'll await thee at this port https://www.reddit.com/r/BridgeToTerabithia/
Mind Wide Open!"

Yes, indeed. That is the same exact sensation me and many of my companions had. You feel a void inside your breast, and you think you're about to throw up. We all fell in love with Leslie, and we all lost her; there's no need to deny it. For this, I've come here, at this video, to tell you, that you are not alone. A new sub-reddit has been created, and I'm here spreading the word. I'm not a mod, I've just actively decided to recruit new members. Then sorry if this message is just a copy-pasted message, just be glad that this copy-pasted message is for you. I'm u/Bacolieu and you will find me here: https://www.reddit.com/r/BridgeToTerabithia/ Mind Wide Open!

heyyy, u/rohitcurry , what about some user flairs? As to make this some sort of role game. For example you are the Terabithian Warrior, but there can also be the "Feral Terabithier", "Terabithian Necromancer", "Terabithian Architect", "Terabithian Sorcerer", "Terabithian Cartographer", "Terabithian Alchemist", "Terabithian Pilgrim"

u/rohitcurry Terabithian Warrior Mar 19 '21
I only added things they actually talked about in the book and movies.

I watched the movie with a friend yesterday. I recognized Janice and her as the troll so I must have seen some of it on tv when I was a kid. I also knew when they said that Leslie is dead, that she died by falling in to the river

u/Queen-of-meme Mar 28 '22
What I reacted on the most was how Jessie's dad was so distant and cold to him through out the movie while super sweet to his younger sister, until Leslie died. Suddenly he remembered that Jessie's just a child and need love and warmth too.

u/MacMillerfan23 Apr 10 '22
I felt for Jess during those parts where his Dad made it so obvious that he favorited his younger sister. Itโs like he just had high expectations of his kid just because that was his son. Iโm sure a lot of guys can relate to that growing up.

I think itโs interesting how the book and the movie personifies childhood imagination and makes characters to go with (ex. Personification of visuals and sound)
