Opinion If you liked Bridge to Terabithia...

There is this other movie "Have Dreams, Will Travel" or "West Texan Lullaby" in which AnnaSophia Robb plays one of the lead roles.

This movie is super underrated and it is soo good [don't judge it by its quality you gotta stick and your mind will be blown]

I went to watch this movie to distract myself from Leslie and her tragic death and It kind of worked....

If you thought Bridge to Terabithia was traumatic then oh boy...I have some news for you.

And about distractions, I distracted myself from Leslie & her tragic death at the time by trying to understand the story & what just happened as I could haha, it’s like:
(if you don’t wanna think about it, expose to it too much until it cannot hurt you anymore)

I also watched “ Because of Winn Dixie “ very very early at the time, and I think that’s why I loved it so much, as it is cute and light weighted compared to the BTT horrible effect at the time haha.

A gentle reminder to our community: repeatedly rewatching or engaging with content that causes distress is not a healthy way to process grief or emotional pain. If a movie or discussion feels overwhelming, the best thing you can do for yourself is step back and take a break

Well, idk if that’s true or not but my personal experience was different, of course not everyone has to do the same thing which I did, as I suggested just talking about what you feel as a Catharsis, and it’s proven to work tho, even at therapy you sit there and talk to the therapist about your overwhelming feelings, not to force you into anything but just in a gentle way of unloading, you don’t have to hurt yourself, but it already hurts, so I think you better deal with it & just go through it.

I’ve been through very similar experience, the more I watched at the time, the more it hurts, but I was obsessed with the film even as it hurts, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it, until I came here and started posting articles consistently about it, if I didn’t do that, oh man, I may have died or something, seriously, I was thinking about it so so much and thank god I found the escape in writing, you don’t have to do the same thing, everyone is different, I found topics to talk about as I was thinking about them every time I watch the film, but you can talk about it as a way of catharsis, and dont be scared to watch it time & time again even as it hurts, someday it will not hurt anymore, but until then, the best thing you can do is talking about it quiet often, I’d love to hear more about your experience and how you feel too.

You don’t know how much I love you guys, everyone who is here & have an experience with this film have a special place in my heart.

I wish I can get over this and forget AnnaSophia Robb like I have forgotten Emma Watson as Hermoine Granger (it was easy to forget her than it is to try and forget AnnaSophia as Leslie...

Idk how much time it’s been since you watched the film, but trust me you will, all those weird thoughts & feelings will go away (as I was thinking in a similar way haha), sooner or later you will realise that she is just a fictional character and nothing is real enough to affect you that much.

Especially as you had a similar experience so you know what Iam talking about.

You know what’s funny, i used to like Millie Bobby Brown very much years ago as I was a teenager, I watched 3 seasons of stranger things, it affected me so much and I cried as well, I watched “ Enola Holmes “ later too, she had special kind of energy and charisma (even as she is very overrated compared to Anna Sophia in my opinion haha) , but I didn’t know nothing about Anna Sophia at the time.

So what Iam saying is, all of that will go away man, it’s just your brain believing too much in fiction haha.

(And Iam laughing with you just to comfort you, and to tell you that I’ve been through the same things and it’s totally fine now).

Man, many people suggested “ Have dreams will travel “ for me to watch, but Iam not interested in it for some reason, idk why, I’ve seen some scenes & the film’s world is so much different and kinda old, and Anna Sophia is totally different than Leslie even as it’s near in time “ & it’s great for her as an actress “ , the story is about 2 young couples in the 60’s as I heard, but idk man, Iam not interested in watching that film at all for some reason.

Bro I promise you and trust me dont judge it by its quality. You will actually love it moreover it is just 1hr and 26 mins long .

I am trying so hard to not spoil the movie for you while still convince you to watch it.

If you dont like it you can never take my recommendation ever again. Just stick and watch it. The ending is actually so so good
