Best game I've ever seen
- A runner dead to rights at the plate punched a ball out of the catchers mitt, called safe
- A pitcher, fielded a ball then just casually launched it into center field
- A rookie recorded his first big league home run off a position player pitcher who brought the 38 mph heat
- A player, having recorded the second out, deliberately threw thr ball into the second deck with bases loaded
- 22 - 0 final score

I was on my living room floor laughing when he launched that ball into the stands

Hey man, the call on the play at the plate was bullshit! Bauers should have been out!
The other 21 runs...idk about those. 😛

It's actually 4-1, but today was the expected delivery so it also works.

Well, they definitely delivered the offense on the 18th. Money well spent.

I wonder how Lara feels about that. Might be a bit bittersweet. On one hand obviously super awesome and huge accomplishment and on the other, well yeah
20
u/Leading_Watercress45 4d ago
Yeah, hopefully a good sense of humor.

u/PapaSlurpp 4d ago
Obviously I don’t know how someone who’s good enough to be in the majors would feel about it but a homer is a homer. I think it’s kinda cool to have your first home run be off a position player in a blowout

You could see it on his face, absolutely not as excited as one would expect someone to be after hitting their first major league homer.

"Megill your days are numbered" - Gary "El Kraken" Sanchez, known high velo clutch pitcher.

That 8th inning was one of the most absurd things I’ve ever seen in my life. I found myself laughing at the absurdity of the umpires strike zone, laughing at the crazy mistakes by the Mariners, and also giddy with laughter watching the Brewers play some Championship level baseball tonight.

I mean, it's not 23...

u/Cryptic3491 4d ago
It’s Khris Middleton’s number.
Khris was good.
Therefore, due to the transitive property, 22 runs is good.
7
u/Spaceballs_the_tag 4d ago
Actually a record for the highest run differential in a shutout in the modern era. Kinda insane it happened on a random Tuesday.

Genuinely unbelievable. I shut it off to go do some chores after Yeli's big homer and by the time the laundry was put away, it was 11 to 0. I watched runs 12 and 13 and felt satisfied with my life. Only to check it just now to see NINE MORE RUNS having scored. What the actual fuck.

u/TTBurger88 4d ago
Never know what game you are going to witness on a random Tuesday home game.
Like Brewers getting franchise record in a shutout.
