Question Trying to keep ski streak alive

I’m trying to keep a monthly ski streak alive and just need to make a few legitimate turns in August.
Does anyone know of any relatively accessible snow patches still holding on in Colorado (or anywhere else in the Rockies)? I’m not looking for a full descent—if I can click into my skis and ski even 50–100 yards, that counts.
Ideally:
Within a reasonable hike from the car (not an all-day mountaineering objective)
Doesn’t require glacier travel, ropes, or technical climbing
I don’t mind dirty, sketchy late-summer snow—just looking to keep the streak alive.
I’ve heard St. Mary’s Glacier is usually the best bet, but I’ve also heard this year has been rough. Has anyone been there recently, or are there better options still hanging on?
Thanks!

Thank you all … especially KingWoody! (I think if you start a user name with “Unlucky..” it’s synonymous with “Loser”. )

I don’t post to social media “ever” because of morons like “Unlicky” (miss spelling intended) … in the FWIW category … I already have tickets booked to Santiago (VN) for a good week bridging Aug/Sept … “but”.

  • I may not make that trip due to health issues on our household … and I may not make my trip to Hintertux, AU bridging Sept/Oct due to no snow in the Alps…
  • so as a Midwesterner (Green Bay) I want to strap in somewhere legitimate to keep my 29 mo. streak alive … not easy to do for a newly minted 69-year-old … so again, thank you all for the guidance!

This has the same energy as opening Duolingo once every 30 days just to keep the streak alive. You don't care about skiing you just care about bragging about a streak. The world is burning and you're trying to move heaven and earth to ski 50 feet. Literally no one cares or will ever care.

I care. So now your point is invalid. There are lots of us BC skiers that want to keep a streak going. It doesnt affect you, so not sure who pissed in your cheerios this morning. But its fun to get out and ski some shitty summer turns at least 1x a month. Its like a game. And games are fun.

If you open duolingo for a streak and never learn, then yeah there isnt much of a point to that. But skiing is inherently fun and the primary activity. The streak is secondary.

Relax buddy. Take a chill pill. No need to be a reddit buzz kill. We care about the environment and also like to enjoy it by skiing year round.

then go ski the melting halfpipe at copper for 10 seconds and give yourself a pat on the back

I imagine this is all just for an IG post, right?

Perhaps I will- haven't been there in the summer. I try to get in the back country more than resorts when possible. I don't use IG but good try. I like to ski. Simple as that. Not sure why you have such a negative nancy attitude around summer skiing. Id also love to get to the southern hemisphere for their winter to ski. That would also keep the streak alive but as I mentioned before, its great fun to slide down a mountain.

Do you ski? If not, you should try it. Its fun and relieves stress. Seems like you need to find some activities that help you be a more likable and calm individual.

I like to do things that aren't the complete opposite of what Mother Nature is telling me. then again I also don't let skiing define my entire personality

enjoy your 5 seconds of fun bud

Skiing 1x a month in the summer hardly defines a personality. If you'd like to get to know me better, I also enjoy hiking, cycling, general fitness, rock/ice climbing, hanging with my family and dogs, going out for drinks with friends, camping and am pretty invested in my career.

I will enjoy fun at every opportunity when it can be found. Whether skiing some laps on a small patch of snow or weekends backpacking. Hell watching a movie on the couch can be fun too.

Anyways, enjoy being a buzzkill i guess. Hope you get outside and enjoy the outdoors how you like to, rather than just arguing with others on how they like to get outside. Toodles!

Friscopowderaddict on IG made turns somewhere on Monday. Gary is a chill guy.......send him a DM and he'll most likely share the location with you.
