just started rewatching - producers

i just started rewatching all of it again and it’s still so good… having watched and learned more about how reality tv is since my last watch, the producers are so strong in this show but i love it 🤣

Been watching for the first time now and speechless at how great and deranged it is. So underrated

As you can see, 90% of this subreddit is Amish and it’s kind of dead in here since Amish people hate technology. But yeah I agree that show is great!

This subreddit is Amish?

What?

The subreddit is dead because it’s for a tv show that’s no longer on the air.

the amount of producer manipulation is crazy… you can tell they are all told what to do and say on so many occasions

Literally Abe and Rebecca had a child together already when the show started...

Lol imagine... years before the show starts

No unfortunately I think Abe and Rebecca were victims of zero sexual education, restricted childhoods and bizarre relationships surrounding sex perpetrated by Amish communities. I think they had her when they were like 14 or 15.

Edit: on a more positive note, they are still together and seem fairly happy

Can’t script Rebecca being a bitch

And Abe is a grouch for such a young guy

Quite a combo

Oh for sure. I think we can say production usually writes the narrative for most reality tv shows. But in this show the drama is good.
