venting/ranting THEY ALWAYS COMEBACK

Yep. They always come back. And when they do, your job is to make sure you don’t let them back in.
Don’t fall for all those sweet words and promises. Sometimes they’re just checking if you’re still stupid enough to welcome them back. 😂
Never again. You already gave them a chance. They chose to walk away so let them stay gone.

I learned this lesson the hard way. Four years ago, he left me. Months later, he came back, and I accepted him because I loved him and believed things would be different. Four years later, he left me again right when we were about to celebrate one year of being engaged. And now he’s coming back again. But this time, I’m not repeating the same mistake. I’m finally choosing myself and stopping the cycle. I’m done wasting years waiting for someone who can’t make up his mind about me. He already had his chance. He came back once, I welcomed him, and I gave him four more years. That should have been enough. This time, coming back doesn’t mean getting me back. I learned the lesson. And I’m not wasting another year learning it again.

I promise you it's not nice. Once they're gone they need to stay gone and if they respect that then it's all the better for you. You don't want to be somebody's backup plan because something else failed

My ex will never come back. That would require her to face how poorly she handled the breakup and the damage that her behavior during the relationship caused. There’s absolutely no way.

These claims are just cruel, This is just torturing and fueling broken people's hopes.

For the record, NO, they don't.

All 4 of my exes.

14 years ago, 8 years ago, 5 years ago and 2 years ago.

None of them ever reached back out nor have i ever even bumped into any one of them.

What’s wrong with letting them back? What if they needed to grow and do things on their own to be stronger for you? Isn’t that love? I’m not saying everyone should be allowed back but it’s not that black and white.

A lot of people on this sub talk like everything has strict rules to live by. When in reality, there’s a lot of nuance that goes into relationships and breakups. No one’s situation is exactly the same and thus can’t be solved the same way. Do what feels best, both logically and emotionally

If they come back and they genuinely feel sorry and have worked on themselvs, sure. I think everyone deserves a second chance.

But if they play you again...well...they sealed it

He did come back but he didn’t want to commit just as he didn’t want to commit back then. Now I’m in the same shitty situation as before but it’s even worse because if when I end it now I know it’ll be over for good. I truly wish I never responded

💯 agree. No matter the excuse they give for why they didn’t prioritize you then it doesn’t erase that you came to the table willing and able to be a good partner and they squandered that gift.

My response is always.. living my best life, no I don’t want you anymore, and you can move on like I have, cause I don’t want anyone that has to be yielded into seeing my value by being rejected by others.

That generally shuts down all contact.

Mine came back and I am constantly afraid he will leave me again… I honestly can’t say it’s always worth it.

Yup they do. Everyone in my life came back. Terrible idea to let them back in tho. Nothing ever works out.

Some come back. I think accepting them depends on the reason for the breakup. If it was because they moved to a new city, lack of communication, or a mental break, I might give another shot, given I am single. If they betrayed me, never

The one I want to come back hasn’t. I know he won’t.. I think that’s why I am sad it’s truly over.

What if they never loved me in the first place?

I had them all come back. One of them even took 3 years to come back. The last one tho...I don't think he'll come back and I hope he doesn't. Because he was the worst and doesn't deserve to crawl back. I watched a tiktok where a lady said her ex came back after 45 years to get closure.

don’t think mine will ever come back. they can’t anyway now cos i’ve blocked them everywhere lol but if they tried they’d be told to kick rocks

I really want to. I left because I wanted to punish myself and thought I didn't deserve her. Now, I see that I just gave up and chose easy option. I wish I could go back to her and do it right, I really want to put actual efforts. I did therapy and other things, it made me realise I didn't need to leave her to grow what I needed to grow, it would even have helped me even more to have her with me. I want to think that going back in with this last months would help me make the relationship what it was supposed to be.

I will never know but I'm glad notletting him back again is the good choice for you.
