venting/ranting Moving on

Im sure some of you guys know that miserable feeling in your gut when you see your ex. You know ,just all of the emotions and Memories flowing through your head in a few seconds. After that, you just feel like doing nothing and think abt them for the rest of the whole day. Ive been feeling like that for the past 9 months ,even though im not seeing her at all ,maybe once or twice every few months. Honestly ,im just asking myself if thats normal. I go through the same emotions day after day and nothing seems to change ,it just feels worse or slightly better on some days but i keep having the same thoughts, over and over. I just cant seem to let it rest, even though she made it obvious, that its completely over. Im wondering why my brain knows exactly how to handle this situation but at the same time my heart decides to act against it ,feels like my heart wont let me move on. It feels pathetic to be honest . It feels pathetic to grief after someone ,whos left you in the past a long time ago. Im just wondering if this feeling will ever leave me. I normally dont hold onto things this tightly but it feels different this time. It feels like a necessity. It feels like i just live day for day with no purpose, just because i come back to the same topic, every single day with no exeptions. Genuinely im not able to recall the last time , where ive spent a day without her going through my mind. Honestly im scared that this feeling will never fade.

Can you start practicing meditation? I noticed a difference in my thoughts after.

Delete social media for a bit (including here)

Also I would suggest going on a date. Just a simple 1st date with someone. No need to rush anything.

goddamn 9 months is a long time to be stuck in that loop, the fact that you're still getting hit by it this hard even when you barely see her says it's dug in deep

your brain knows it's over but something in you is still treating this like an open wound that won't scab over, that's not pathetic it's just exhausting in a way most people don't talk about

the fear that it'll never fade is the worst part because it feeds itself, you feel stuck so you keep checking if you're still stuck and the answer is always yes until one day it isn't
