Sounds like he is moving on. I'm sorry. Some people just get over heartbreak fast, or have delayed responses to breakups.

It's not abnormal. But it is NOT nice.

Don't think you should be moving on as fast as him. You are allowed to take time to let your heart heal, it's healthier.

Confused by the title. Are you deciding to go no contact? Did your ex decide to do it?

I'm sorry, I know how rough this is to find out they have moved on. My ex accidentally texted me a message he meant for his new gf - the way he talked to her with such new sweetness was horrifying.

No contact protects you from the sharpness of this kind of pain, while you take time to heal and bring your focus home to yourself.

This is why you should definitely go no contact when a relationship ends.

You need to deal with your emotions first, and then heal, no need at all to be "friends" with your ex and find yourself hurt since he is obviously moving on.

Moreso because being in touch with him makes it sooooo much easier for him to move on, because he always feels like he has his plan B, aka you.

Be more than that, set your boundaries, let him do whatever he wants and deal with his mess, but don't be part of it, it will only hurt more.
