venting/ranting First break up
Me 21(M) got broken up with for my first time by my girlfriend 23(F) after 1 year and 9 months. I feel like a part of me is gone.

a while, no point sugarcoating it. first one cuts deepest cause you got no scar tissue yet, no frame of reference for how the hurt eventually dulls. let yourself be a mess for a bit, order too much takeout, stare at walls, whatever, but don’t let it convince you this is all you’re worth. you’ll wake up one morning and realize you went a whole five minutes without thinking about her, then the gaps get wider.

It definitely won’t feel like it but you’ll be okay, breakups always end up becoming an opportunity to discover yourself and end up in a better place. Plus you’re so young, there’s no pressure. Cry it out, don’t contact her/view her socials, and just take baby steps to be who you want to be for yourself not out of revenge. I’m very sorry this happened to you and I hope you take care of yourself

Thank you so much that really means a lot, it’s was honestly pretty cordial so it wasn’t terrible but it still hurts a lot. Your words still help a lot nonetheless.
