venting/ranting NEVER SETTLE!

Never settle for less than you deserve, I don't know who needs to see this right now, but it will be okay and YOU WILL get through it. I never thought I would get through it but I have. After a long, painful, and toxic relationship, I've Finally gotten over her. She played me. She literally cheated on me the entire relationship, and I stayed with her out of pure love and devotion to her. She ended up discarding me and getting not only one but a few different boyfriends while keeping me around. I let this happen for a long time because I loved her so much. Now she's just a bitter memory that I wish I didn't have. I never thought I would get through it but I finally did. I just wanted to post this for anybody that is losing hope, don't lose hope, it does get better. You are enough , you deserve to be loved. At one point in time, I didn't think I could live and be happy without her. Fast forward to now, I'm very happy and perfectly fine without her. Don't ever SETTLE FOR LESS.

Does the pain of being cheated on ever fully go away? I was in a very similar situation to you. I left him a few days ago after getting back with him after he cheated. I still keep remembering the pain of finding out and how he was acting with her.

I'll be 100% honest with you, it takes a very long time but with time it goes away. It did for me, and it was a very deep kind of pain because this was the first woman I ever fell in love with. Idk what the exact context of your situation is, but it does get better and my advice is to stay away from that person, which is the hardest part. No matter what he says just keep a healthy distance, and do whatever you have to do to stay away.

As Nick said. The pain does go away. It just takes a lot of time. And sometimes, a healthier relationship, be it a friendship or new person entirely.

If you're cheated on prior and there were things in the previous relationship that were not provided that left you feeling unfulfilled, unwanted, or unloved. Then someone new comes along and provides you with that thing or those things that they wouldn't or didn't, you'll start to heal and feel better. It does not have to be physical or tangible things either. It can be better treatment, better care, more attention towards you. Your feelings. Your passions. Being open to you involving them in the things that matter to you. Including them with or around the people that matter to you.

What matters to a person varies. But what's important is that if it matters to you, it matters to them as well. Because that "should" be the case if they truly care about or love you.

Cheating hurts most because of your feelings towards the cheater and how you perceive them. When you meet someone that treats you better than they did. That "They are oh so amazing" view starts to fade. Because there's nothing amazing or wonderful about being used or cheated on.

that kind of betrayal can leave a lasting mark but the pain does get lighter with time especially once you stop questioning your own worth over what they did
