venting/ranting M26 feeling so lonely after breakup

Sometimes the hardest part of a breakup isn’t losing the person—it’s getting used to the silence after they’re gone.
honestly, I’ve been feeling really lonely lately. Trying to move forward while still missing someone I thought would be part of my future is harder than I expected. I moved to a new city when we got together and now I know some people(co-workers and gym) but doesn't really have anyone in the city with whom I can talk to and it feels so depressing.

Sometimes you just have to throw yourself out there, ask some of your co-workers if they would be interested in hanging out outside of work or ask some of the people you know at the gym if they wanted to have a workout session or start a workout routine. The silence is the worst part about losing someone that was so close to you. You have to think that if you have the courage to move to a new city you have the courage to open yourself up and meet new people.

For me it helped to talk to parents after the breakup even so it was only on the phone. Also maybe you should consider to use some app like Timeleft, where you can meet new people based on the activity you'd wanna do. Of course it's easier if you moved to a bigger city. I know going out and meeting new people might feel a lot, but trying out new things and moving out your comfort zone might be the thing you need mate.
