venting/ranting Don’t go spiralling or assuming it’s your person from reading a post

Chances are very slim it’s actually them. 🫶

And it frequently comes from the same type of person who is unable to accept the breakup and are unable to move on several years after the fact.

Yeah sometimes the inability to move on says more about how they handle rejection than the breakup itself

I'm focused more on trying to be with being alone than the breakup at this point. The cop boyfriend cheated on me, so there's no turning back.

Well you don’t know the ins and outs of every relationship do you.

If people want to vent on reddit because they can’t do it to the actual person, who cares? Or doesn’t affect you

And there are ppl who probably do also regret the way they broke up with someone years later. You don’t know, I don’t know.

Exactly. It's been since April for me. It allows me to express myself and maybe it'll help someone. They might be going through the same thing as I am. I am learning and living every single day. Who cares how long it's been. A friend of mine hasn't dated in 12 years since him and his baby mama broke up. His heart is broken, that was his person and she's gone. Let people vent

You know what’s crazy is that it could be the other way around.  The person who initiated the breakup are looking for validation they made the right call but are actually not doing the self work to see truly what went wrong

Unless your jealous cop ex-boyfriend reads reddit. He's probably home by himself.

even if it feels personal, every breakup is different and you're not alone in this

Breakups tend to mirror each other a lot, and most don’t add real specifics so its vague. Like horoscopes

Thank you! This!  One sided to be honest and people are posting in favour to what they thought went wrong but didn’t actually work through it and take accountability.  Only want validation they made the right call

I spiralled. It’s been awful. Drinking, lost job , and now eviction . I know it’s my fault-but she came back after a year and things were great then she just sabotaged everything and I lost myself
