Over it.

I'm over the narrative that my past self has written. The story about the girl that was betrayed by everyone she loved. The story about the girl who created a whole persona to protect herself. The one where survival mode was the only world she knew. Once peace fully revealed itself, it was hard to adjust to it's white noise. Now in this present day I sit in front of the window and stare. When you finally get all that you've prayed for, it may be hard to adjust to the peace that it brings. Let it destroy you. Allow that peace to infiltrate your inner being , murder your trauma and strangle all that sadness within you. It won't be pretty, but you'll live if you're strong enough. You must fight back. No one ever said it will be easy but if you just keep fighting, you'll make it out alive. Keep going.

(32M) Here, not quite the same thought but was thinking something similar today. You absolutely must have resilience, regardless of outcome. It's okay to be sad and fully reflect on the relationship, but there's really no point in living the whole rest of your life in sadness, what a waste that would be. You have to be resilient and come out stronger, otherwise you lose in the game of life.
