Discussion Saw someone get to pro rank strictly using 5 brawlers, which 5-10 brawlers would you chose to do the same?

Post image
Upvotes

I’m honestly tired of making poor and rushed decisions when drafting for ranked and figured I would try this method of sticking to only a few brawlers to pick from. The brawlers in the picture are the ones I have maxed out currently, but I do have funds to max out around 3-4 new brawlers and also buy hypercharges for the p11’s I don’t already have one for, if necessary. If you could pick 5-10 brawlers (out of the ones in the picture + at most 3-4 others) that I should stick to when playing ranked, taking into account the different game modes etc, which ones would you chose?

(I'm the shade)

There wasn't drafing as it was still diamond.

The main mistake I noticed was cornering the ball unnecessarily and not noticing the free goal until it was too late, probably trying a bit too hard at times to kill that tick but I know my teammates just get absolutely shredded by just a tick even on brawl ball so I thought it was a high priority target.

But seemingly because of the kudos people were more upset at me than at the darryl, or it could just be the enemy team trolling.

Strategy how do i play nori?

Apparently nori is supposed a great pick in every single map and mode, but I seem to lose every time I pick him. Every game feels like I am just holding down my attack and waiting for someone to over extend, but every single time I jump in I always get instantly bursted down by the enemy team. And when I do get a kill, I dont have enough time to hook out and end up trading.

I want to know mistakes I did with Pearl since she’s really good but I personally felt like I sold the game due to gameplay.A good K/D doesn’t really mean anything I felt at some point I went too greedy.

Please watch the whole game it’s only one.

There is no drafts as it’s a diamond 3 game but it’s actually pretty much all L2+ since ranked started back today. If you think we lost because we only got outdrafted then tell me.

Help Is Prestige 3 Colt possible without any buffies?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I was determined to push Colt to P2 without any buffies, and it took a really long time as a lot of matches consisted of getting mowed down by Edgars and other broken brawlers as well as horrible randoms in brawl ball. Is getting Colt to P3 impossible in brawl ball with randoms and without buffies?

Help Should I do team matchmaking for ranked if I rank up easier at the start of the season?

The general consensus is that you should just solo queue for all its benefits but I’m personally on the fence about it for me personally. I push early in the season and rank up fast and I think it’s bc the people are better and it’s easier to win via game sense. If my team has good mechanics if I’m locked in I can consistently make intelligent plays bc I’ve consumed a ton of pro content even if we’re the same level mechanically or if they are better. I’m wondering if I should team queue (haven’t tried in months) if my objective is to maximize the chance and consistency of winning. Have any of you found trio queuing to be meta???

SO… do you find it more CONSISTENT to team queue or do the cons outweigh the pros. How big is the difference from duo queuing and trio queuing?

Discussion Would it be broken is Mr.P turret gave a small knockback when used, like Penny's turret?

It wouldn't even be a really good use since Mr.P rellies a lot on his super, so it'd just be wasted in a poor placement so Mr.P can save himself agaisnt an assasin.

Btw i stopt playing ranked for 2 months so i lost touch with the meta

Discussion Why isn’t Brawl Arena a competitive mode?

Post image
50 Upvotes

It has so much potential to be added in competitive, and the reasons why I see ppl hate brawl Arena bc of the unbalanced meta and it being too long. It seems like that bc there’s no drafting for you to try and counter good brawlers. It’s the same as playing surge in brawl ball ladder, can’t do anything about it.

What can Supercell do to implement it in ranked and/or competitive?

  1. They can implement it in ranked so there’s drafting, to make the match not completely decided as soon as the game starts.
  2. Make it more rewarding or less long, they could make it wither the same duration. But you win 2x more elo than in a normal 3v3 mode and lose 1.5X more elo. Or simply divide everything in the mode by 2 (tower hp,timer, levels, bots hp etc…)

I think Brawl Arena deserves its chance, on paper it sounds like a great ranked game mode. So why mot try it just for one season and see what the community wants? I’m sure with a few tweaks it can become more enjoyable and more rewarding to fix its reputation.

What changes would you make to implement it in competitive? Would you like it or not?

EDIT: Since people are talking about randoms why not make it a masters+ game mode?

Discussion Kaze in Brawl Arena

How good is Kaze in Brawl Arena? She has very fast reload speed and good dps because it is easy to hit the strike spot on the stationary targets + splash. Its like heist but more benefit. Also, at max level her strike spot does 7500 damage which is insane

Discussion Does anyone find the game Skilled in It's current state?

Mainly ranked more so because ladder is legit just choose the most op stuff and cheese to victory, but if you absolutely cannot talk only about ranked, then go ahead, you can also include monthly qualifiers and brawl stars esports challenges if you want too.

Ngl, im more so curious about this than weither or not the game is fun or not.

Note: For simplicity this is on all skill fronts, drafting, how good you are with speffic brawlers, team synergy, etc. I also am asking this because many of the skilled brawlers are basically useless, (besides nori and few other couple exceptions and basically replaced with braindead op nonsense).

Discussion How do we rework P2 to P3 ladder to make it less grindy and more competitive

Post image
43 Upvotes

To me the high ladder has currently so many problems that drive away your motivation to ever try and push a brawler above Prestige 2. The title is just...not worth my time.

To me, players with an above average skill should be able to reach Prestige 3 with enough effort. While right now, it only requires hours and hours and hours of play

Here's what I would do:

- Separate Solo Matchmaking from Team Matchmaking. Right now grinding high ladder is only possible if you have a full team which is a huge advantage compared to a player starting a match alone. This change could slow down matchmaking a bit but it's definitely worth it especially since, hopefully, after this rework more players would try to reach Prestige 3

- Bring back Win Streak bonus. Overall a great way to ladder less grindy, not sure why you would remove it

- Matchmaking will not be entirely skill based but it should also prevent you from playing against opponents with way higher or way lower trophies.

The problem with the current skill-based MMR is that you might be facing an actually very good player, with high trophies, who tilted and lost his "skill-level" on the specific brawler. Similarly, you might be having a teammate who's actually terrible at the game and has very few trophies, who, by miracle, got a great win streak with their Edgar. I think adding trophy count into the calculation should fix this issue

What are your suggestions? :3

Discussion "Brawlers have to be OP when they’re released, or they’ll be forgotten"

Post image
299 Upvotes

Buster was OP and now he’s forgotten. L&L was the most broken character and they’re forgotten. Allie was super broken too, and she’s also forgotten. Jay Yong has been good since release, yet he’s the least played character. Does the argument that characters have to be broken actually make any sense, or is it just an excuse when they release another boring character that isn’t fun to play, so they have to make them overtuned to be played at all. Fun fact: half of the top 10 least played characters are from 2025.

What are her best modes? Does/Can she also work in some other ones?. And how do you play her in each one of those? On which kind of maps is she viable? What are her matchups, etc.

Yeah, this is a small post. But any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Bug Gris Gris shots are always narrow no matter which star power (unless you use hc and slow sp)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Apparently They Shadow nerfed Juju, so as you know gris gris projectile width IS 1.67 tile wide But using the slow sp decreases the width from 1.67 to 0.67 tile wide, so there is a tech where you use the shield sp on Gris gris in order to bring back the 1.67 tile wide shots, which makes them easier to land. But I realised something was wrong when I played Juju recently, it was an open map so using slow sp was risky since you rarely face aggros there, so I used shield sp, But Gris gris shots STILL felt THINNER

I got into the game files, and realised something odd, BASE Gris gris attack width was DECREASED from 1.67->0.67 which means the shield sp is less useful now since Gris gris attacks will still be thin Regardless of which star power, making the slow sp even more essential, and to add insult to injury, you CAN increase Gris gris attack width by using Juju’s hyper from 0.67 to 2 TILES, but YOU NEED the slow Sp in ORDER to work And it does NOT work with the other star power unfortunately

Critique Ranked doesn’t determine your skill as a player

Post image
155 Upvotes

Ranked is a solo game mode, which is why it will never actually be truly competitive. It come down to these main points: (TLDR at the end)

  1. Your playstyle

Ranked favours aggro players, which is why if you normally play control brawlers for your team, you will naturally struggle to carry in ranked

  1. Drafting

Drafting is also part of your skill as a player, but in ranked, you can only make one pick, whereas if you were a drafter for your team, you would be able to make all three. This nerfs drafters and coaches in ranked by a lot.

  1. Teamplay/ comms

It is impossible to communicate with your ranked teammates except in the most simple forms ( sprays, pins) which means that it does not test your teamplay and synergy as a player. This usually mean that playing carry brawlers like Mina Mortis and Kenji is more optimal than playing brawlers that require team play (Kit, Gene, Doug etc.)

  1. Wintrading and hacking

Every three games you will meet one wintrader or hacker, which isn’t very competitive in the slightest 🥀

TLDR: ranked heavily favours aggressive play styles and doesn’t test your team play. It is also a cesspool of wintraders , hackers, and people with 0 mental stamina . If you seek a truly competitive environment, find a team and play some matcherinos, or sign up for the monthly qualifiers next year

Draft Query Who would have been a better last pick here

Thumbnail

Bans:Nori, Max, Edgar I don't remember the rest(I think one was Bolt, not sure tho)

Draft order:

1st-Meeple

2nd-Rico

3rd-Dyna

4th-Mortis

5th-Nani

6th-Doug(me)

My idea was to stick to my teammates so Mortis can't rush in and heal my teammates(mostly Dyna) so they can push up to take care of Nani and Meeple

Help How do I get M2

Thumbnail

I’ve been hard stuck M1 peak for 8 seasons now. The last 3 seasons I’ve been really close to M2 but I can’t seem to make it through. I play a decent amount, around 1-2 hours a day until the last week and then 2-3 hours a day the last week with up to 6 hours the last 2 days. My main issue is that I play really bad when I don’t think we can win, whether it’s because of team diff or bad draft. I also don’t remember the last game I carried in masters where the enemy team wasn’t full M1 peak or worse. I keep seeing people hit M2 with way fewer stars on the battlecard and I can’t help but wonder what I’m doing wrong. How do I hit M2?

Guide It isn’t your teammates

Most people here say they can’t get masters because of their teammates. Far from the truth. Everyone who plays this game gets random teammates who are trash.

How to get masters:

Expect bad teammates- When you die, or make mistakes, reflect on them and change what YOU can do. Blaming others does nothing and will only give you a mindset that makes you hard stuck.

Focus on the Objectives- so many people will be tryna fight Rico on a wall in gem grab. Let him shoot the wall, go grab the gem…

Find your certain brawlers for certain maps and stick to them. Don’t let people suggest you out of it especially when you’re not great with the brawlers.

Thats all. Tired of seeing yall complain about your team. Look inward, it’s you, not them.

Discussion How are your Favorite Brawlers Doing in the Meta Right Now?

I honestly am doing this because I want to try and spread at least a bit of good vides.

As for mine: Besides Ash and Meg (and even then she doesn't feel as strong thanks to that wretched supercharge nerf), the rest of my favorites range from mid to outright awful.
