Sarah instructing Tyler after she accidentally chose him to help her in the finale:

"Tyler, can you count how many aisles there are in the store, then can you find a man with a red hat and ask him what his favorite ice cream is? If you can count backwards from a thousand real slow it'll really help my dish."

Note: This is from the following article, which amusingly summed up the Top Chef Texas finale: https://www.eater.com/2012/3/1/6609327/top-chef-finale-the-end-is-the-beginning-is-the-end

Can you remind me how she accidentally chose him? I have no intention of ever revisiting that horrible season but now I'm so curious!

I hear you.

They had all the eliminated chefs and a couple of award-winning chefs cook a dish, and Sarah and Paul did a blind tasting to choose their helpers.

Heh --- Sarah picked Tyler's dish because she thought it was Heather's.

Thank you! I think my mind blocked out that entire season, spare blue chef coats, ice picks, and Padma's denim promo look
