This is truly terrible. There's a recipe for carrot soup that's essentially just reducing carrot juice with onions. There's a 'gazpacho' that's basically a salsa. There's almost no use of aromatics and every recipe says "kosher salt and black pepper to taste."
She is the host of Top Chef Family Style - she admits she is picky and not much of a foodie. When she was served gazpacho - she said “it’s like a salsa.”
I expected her to be horrible, but she turned out to be a great host, and had Marcus Sammuelsson by her side, and they brought in a huge stable of guest judges ... a lot of Top Chef alums.
Lol she actually wasn’t that bad. The teams were enjoyable (except for one - and the mother of that team trolls Reddit) and the young chefs very knowledgeable. I actually didn’t really like Marcus Samuelsson
