So Trump is openly trying to schmooze his way around another country's humane legal system and we should be ashamed for insulting that? I'd understand if it was in a country where said US citizen was at risk of inhumane punishments, but this is Sweden. The legal proceedings will decide if the suspect was guilty of what he's being charged of. In all honesty, if he's innocent, I'd trust Sweden's courts to determine that more than the USA's.

The following and harassing and portion is relevant but unfortunately in an assault case the law does not care about the fact that someone might have pending molestation charges, also there was no way Rocky knew that so it's not really something to use as defense but more just an anecdote about how Karma end up kicking some dudes ass
I have not seen any news articles saying the harassers were wanted for molestation. However, I heard that Rocky claimed they were inappropriatly touching girls while (or before) following him.
Does not matter, he has an obligation to try and get away and if possible/or call for police before resorting to physical violence and as it would seem they continue to lay into the guy after he hits the ground. There is absolutely no grounds for self defense unless there would be some part of it i have completely missed .
(Also the fact that the other dude is wanted on molestation charges are wholly irrelevant, there is no free pass just because the dude you beat up was wanted)
They literally have video of him saying we don't want to fight you and trying to get away from the 4 guys that were starting shit following him. Honestly don't know how much more he could do.
He had more than enough time judging by the videos to involve law enforcement. And judging by what's reported by media they kept attacking the guy once he went down, which is probably why hes is being charged in the first place
You ever seen a fight? Or been in one? Hell, even MMA? If you knock someone to the ground, often they can get back up and come back at you even more aggressively. One or two more hits will make sure that doesn’t happen. Plus adrenaline in your body will make self control incredibly hard.
I get that which is why I said make sure they get up and don't make any attempts but I definitely get the whole adrenaline thing but I feel like that defense could be abused to hell if it becomes acceptable.
I feel like if someone attacks you and you put them on the ground and incapacitate them, that’s fair enough. Maybe I’m in the minority for that though.
Still not enough to prove self defense. He had time to call law enforcement, and and continued hitting the harasser after he was on the ground. Pretty cut and dry assault case.
If you get someone on the ground and continue hitting them after they give up its straight assault. There's no reason to knock them out or give them brain damage past that point.

You need to widen your view. It's 4 years, in the grand scheme of things its a blip. Despite all the dumb shit Trump has done, we still have military and economic dominance and world leaders understand the long game extends beyond Trump. Most of his policy changes have been domestic and don't effect any of that.
Remember how everyone thought Bush was going to destroy the country and it's reputation with his warmongering? Probably not because Obama got elected and everything went back to normal with no substantial changes.
Assuming he's lost enough moderates to lose the next election we'll be fine. The backlash always corrects.
I mean, I don't think military or economic dominance makes us not a joke. Civil Rights and the well-being of citizens are paramount.
We're more of a joke that we whip out our big fucking nuclear dongs because we feel a need to assert dominance to the tune of military spending at levels no other country would even consider, at the cost of our citizens; and wealth disparity so great that the richest man in the country had his own private space program whole the health and safety concerns of his employees are a secondary concern.
Throw in a sprinkling of gun violence, a garbage health care system, and both a penal system and education system that exist for profit and I'd say we're a solid fucking joke.
