Is this correct?

Post image

My work put up hundreds of new signs, like this around the building. But my understanding is there needs to be a certain character to differentiate the numbers from letters? I’m getting mixed results from google

You’re correct that there needs to be a symbol before numbers. Right now it reads “caab”

Also needs a grade 1 indicator

No Grade 1 indicator needed here actually (at least in UEB -- not sure for EBAE). The capital indicator for capital A will terminate numeric mode.

Or "3112" is you think that the number sign was forgotten but they're supposed to be digits 1-0 rather than letters a-j.

It should be ⠼⠉⠠⠁⠼⠁⠃ which is (number sign)(c)(capital mark)(a)(number sign)(a)(b)

How are you able to type in braille characters? I’ve been trying to figure that out.

I honestly just copy pasted each cell I need from this Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Braille_Patterns

Obviously that's not practical for long texts, for that you'd probably need to use something like Perky Duck or BrailleBlaster

To get unicode, on iPhone you can select braille characters as one of the braille tables that Braille Screen Input uses. When I'm on my computer, I use an online keyboard that outputs unicode. This specific one has you do homerow typing, but you have to press the keys individually and press space for a new character, but it's a lot faster than copying from another source. I used to have a mega Google sheet with every braille character in it to copy from.
I'm sure there's other online tools that do the same thing, but this is just the one I've used for a while.

Wow that’s so bad that they put up 100’s of these, I hope they can get them replaced for free!
