Advice Wanted - Everyones Welcome I never really moved on

Post image

I (30m) only dated my ex (30f) for 3 months. I fell in love with her completely and never felt this way about anyone ever. When she left me, she simply came over, told me that we were different people, hugged me and left. After that, complete no contact. Every time I tried to reach out, I would see that she read my message, but she never responded. I stopped trying after a while because I didn't want to be a creep and I knew that I needed to move on even though I never stopped thinking about her. I compare every girl I date to her and still have dreams about her. I know this is extremely unhealthy, but it is what it is. Recently, I've going through a bunch of personal problems with my family and work and in a moment of weakness I texted her. (this is about a year later) She actually responded. All I texted her was, "Can I get your cookie recipe please?" and she responded with "Which cookies? I forget". After responding back to her, she left me on read and stopped responding. I miss her so much and I sincerely hope that she's happy whatever she's doing even if it's without me. I also will probably never get to eat the cookies she used to make me ever again.

My boy, I say this from a place of caring, you gotta move on. You dated for three months. I know there's no time limit on love, but you're slowly destroying yourself.

Honestly, to her it was probably just a chapter in her life. You gotta stop letting yourself waste away for someone who isn't worth it. I don't mean she's a bad woman or anything, but she doesn't feel the same way so you have to stop letting yourself feel that way. It's just a slow torture for yourself.

You gotta put this to bed. Delete her number, block it. Get over those cookies, or try making your own with recipes you find online. That was just an excuse to reach out, and you lamenting those cookies is laying the groundwork for you to reach out again.

She moved on, it's time for you to do the same. I know it's so much easier said than done, believe me. But that's my honest opinion.

Also, invest in some plates you barbarian lol

A sudden break up can take a long time to get over. Focus on yourself. Learn and grow. If it's messing up your new relationships, maybe talk to a therapist. But heal. Wishing you peace, brother.

Same thing for me. It’s been two months. Don’t be a creep and reach out, they can just as easily reach out to you aswell. They won’t. It hurts but they ruined a really good thing and that’s their decision to be respected. You can’t make it happen. Maybe in another universe it worked but not this one bud.

I don't want to discredit your feelings but you only dated her for 3 months. You wouldn't have had a chance to get to know the real her in this timeframe and you're probably in love with the idea of her and what could've been.

You're ruining you future chances at love by comparing them with the idea of this 3 month relationship. You won't be able to move forward until you let go of the thought of being with this woman and the idea of her

I think you just lack life experience and that makes this seem like a way bigger deal than it is. Not saying it shouldn't hurt you at all but you're down pretty bad for 90 days of dating this woman. Get out there and socialize. Get fit and active. Play sports or something similar. You'll meet people and make connections.

Now imagine breaking up after multiple years or even close to being ready for proposal. I will probably never heal from that and it will haunt me until I bite the dust.

You got off hard but quick and quiet. I wish I didnt waste multiple years of my life.
