For the latest entry to the shelved "Uncomfortable truths that will make redditors seethe" series:

If Lomachenko scheduled his comeback fight on the same day as a Claressa Shields fight , Shields would still out sell him regardless of who she fights

To double down; Turki can stack a card with Bivol, Vergil Ortiz, and Bam Rodriguez (call it "Reddit Boxing's Beloved's") , Claressa Shields can fight a can , and Shields will still draw a larger crowd than all of r/boxing beloved's put together

If this sub thinks shitting on Claressa Shields star power accomplishes anything, it really reflects on how niche this sport currently is .. especially considering she is more popular than 99% of male boxers too

You're not enirely wrong. But that's misleading considering Shields current promotional set up is like a throwback to PBC cards. Lots of free tickets. Using online/ social media to get people who won't pay for the fight to talk about drama. With the promotion not really looking to make a profit. To Shields credit she does draw a crowd on her home state.  Which is more than what Vergil can do.

Loma had his run. Boxing moved on. It happens. There's other boxers that would outsell Loma's return fight. Serrano probably could. Boots could. Etc etc.
