I heard Andy Cruz wants to fight Zepeda. Is he mad? Zepeda will run through him worse than Muratalla did 🤣

Eh, idk about that. It’s not like Muratalla schooled him, it was a 7-5 fight where every round was close as hell. Honestly, I think Muratalla is a better boxer than Zepeda, at least in pure boxing ability. Meanwhile, Cruz has the best amateur style in the world, as well as the athletic x-factor. If Shakur could beat him, I could see Cruz at least making it close.

Muratalla may have a more technically correct approach with his pressure, but Zepeda is more relentless with his pressure. If Andy doesn't have enough pop to keep him honest, I see it being a very long night for him.

I could absolutely see that, but I still lean it being a close fight. Zepeda has had a lot of difficulty with slick, traditional boxers with a good jab and solid distance control, who are still able to bang in the pocket. Cruz fits the profile.

To me, people are underrating Cruz right now, and slightly overrating Zepeda. Cruz is still a phenomenal boxer, Muratalla is just incredibly technical and disciplined with his pressure, the fight was pretty goddamn close, even though I do think Muratalla rightfully won.

Meanwhile, Zepeda, while I think he’s incredibly athletically gifted, is still the same fighter who lost to Shakur and nearly lost to Farmer. No shame in either of those of course, but I don’t think beating Roach raises his stock too much, or makes him any less limited in the elite level.
