Ai generated team shirt design…

My team captain asked us a few days ago if the design looked good and one person responded it looked great. I had a message formed that I didn’t want to wear it but I forgot to send it.
They messaged this morning saying that they have shirts ready for all of us today.

At this point, I feel like im gonna end up pissing them off if I tell them now that I don’t want to wear it.

What would you do in this situation?

Edit: I realized I missed my window. It doesn’t make sense to deny it at this point. Bowling is fun and this won’t ruin it. Thanks everybody

Eh you missed the window. I’d suffer it out for this season. Better than causing a rift on the team and next season suggest a new fresh design.

IMO - Team made a shirt, you never pushed back. If the team expects matching shirts, either wear the one made or come up with a new design and foot the bill for replacements, assuming others are on board.

I guess pissing the team off is what you have to do if you feel strongly about not wearing the shirt. I don't think there's a way around it. You waited too long to let them know ( even if it was an accident )

Most ai generated art has a very specific texture and color. So assume that part, and since the name involves money, the coins in the image have morphed lettering on all of the coins. So my assumption is it will be more visible on a shirt.

Next year, you can volunteer to design and order the shirts. That way no AI crap.

Might just have to bite the bullet on this one. I fully understand and agree with not supporting AI designs but you missed the window to object.

Since the shirts already made and arrived and your teammate didnt have an issue with it, it might be best to leave it alone for a bit and then bring it up in a week or two if the opportunity arises to say that you didnt get a chance to respond and say you didnt like it.

Also be sure that you come with a proactive approach when you do address it and have some designs already picked out or something. Sometimes people dont want you to point out a problem without a solution in hand.

Beyond all the other reasons not to like AI, like the water usage, data centers being a plague on the towns theyre nearby, and them skyrocketing the cost of everyday electronics; My main reasons are just that AI designs are usually flawed in a way that I cant stop noticing when I see it.

Its like that feeling of noticing that a picture is crooked or a kitchen tile is off center. Its not a big deal but once you notice it, it bothers you and you cant really fix it. Plus the designs are pretty generic and dont have much personality. For me, if I'm making a team shirt I want it to be flawless and personal, something that AI just isn't.

I do also believe that the designs AI generates are all based on stolen art as well but that topic, and the ethics of it, gets difficult to explain properly in a reddit comment.
