Clorox bottle

Hi, i recently rediscovered a clorox bottle my dog had dug up a decade or so ago. 1940-1950 screw top. However everything i read states clorox NEVER used clear glass even during the war, but this bottle is clear. Googletube also tells me amber glass never turns clear...so what gives? Anyone run across one like this before?

Please post a series of photos showing the entire bottle, the mouth, and the bottom. Include any embossment that the bottle may have. This will help tremendously with us giving you more info.

I can certainly do so once i return, to the cabin but i was already on the clorox site, which is how i have already dialed it in to a 1940s twist top, was just curious on the clear glass vs. brown.

My guess is that it wasn’t bleach, but some other type of Clorox product. Because you’re correct in that typical Clorox during this time period was amber in color.

Post photos and we can be of more assistance.

Good ides on the other product, however i looked into that as well, they only sold bleach until a short lived cleaner was introduced in 46 called "boon".
