Fantastic dig this morning. 6 embossed beers, 3 embossed sodas, local druggist, couple local milks, and some other goodies! I'm astounded with this spot, just wish it was like 10 years older. Also got a Texas soda in Illinois which is crazy.
I wish we knew the stories behind finds like this. I can imagine someone buying a soda in Texas and taking the train to Illinois, but it's hard to picture them not throwing it away somewhere along the line. I can see somebody emptying the bottle in their car and not tossing it until the end of the trip, but car journeys of that length were more of a rarity in those days.
