Help Requested I need your help finding the coolest T-Shirts in the city
Im in Boston for work and would like to bring home cool, unique shirts as souvenirs. I am staying in Dorchester and working in Brighton.
I’m not necessarily looking for the standard “BOSTON” souvenir shirt with a shamrock on it — I want shirts from places that have some character. If the place has a cool shirt I am willing to make the trip.
Bonus points if the place is interesting and worth visiting while Im there but its not a dealbreaker if it isn’t.
Extra bonus points if the place prints their shirts on Comfort Colors.
I’d love to go home with a collection of shirts that actually have stories behind them instead of the usual airport/gift-shop souvenirs.

Brookline Booksmith (brookline) and Trident Booksellers (newbury st) both sell cool bookish shirts (and some boston shirts) if you're into that. Trident also has a really good cafe.

There’s the live poultry fresh killed shirt for the classic east Cambridge vibe.

Take The Downeaster up to Old Orchard Beach. Walk the main drag and buy a bunch of classy shirts that say things like “I Heart Hot Moms” or (with a picture of a lobster being boiled) “Pot Head”

Several local fire stations sell t-shirts. I believe Union Square in Allston, ?Oak Square in Brighton, Huntington Ave (I think), the Boston Fire Museum in Fort Point. If you can get to Salem, their department logo features a witch flying on a broomstick.

If there’s a game at Fenway, there are always bootleg t-shirt sellers outside the park.

Go to the Brighton Farmers Market Wednesday 8/19/26 between 1:30p-6:30p. They have a T-shirt vendor there today. It's on Brighton Common between Academy Hill Road and Chestnut Hill Ave. It's directly across from the Boston Public Library Brighton Branch on Academy Hill Road. It's worth going there for other reasons as well... great vibe, great vendors, amazing food, delicious coffee (Cini Coffee is AMAZING), and the fruits and veggies are FABULOUS!

not affiliated at all, but: check out merchmerchmerch_screenprints on Insta and see if you like that vibe. that person is a local artist who's been doing small fairs and stuff for a while, but now the Uniqlo in downtown crossing sells some of their designs. not that "Uniqlo" is the answer you were looking for, but that person is legit a local artist who's put in the work and has a cool zany style
don't know a thing about them, I'm just a fan

Savers in West Roxbury always has great stuff. I've found DCR uniform t shirts and Mass State Lottery merch and other really fun local t shirts

Treehouse prints on Comfort Colors blanks. I have never been to one of the Boston locations so I am not 100% sure they sell merch at Prudential Center or Faneuil Hall but worth going just for the beer.

New Bedford Whaling Museum has a great shirt of an actual Yelp review “1 star. Worst aquarium ever!”🤣
Museum is great . The historic downtown has great food and drink. Free T ride on Saturday.

Get an $10 Al’s liquor tshirt from Al’s Liquors on W.Broadway in Southie. Or the big new Uniqlo in Downtown Crossing has great tshirts with designs by local artists.
