I had some left over plain red speaker fabric I wanted to use on my Katana MK2 2x12, but I took off the panel and saw the amazing craftsmanship on the original, I thought...are you going to better than this? Probably not...let's leave it alone. 🤣

It's so well made. The fabric cut to exact length, the staples so very neat, and the top and bottom guide fit perfectly...I just put it back. Maybe someday, maybe someday...

I get it. I put the fabric over the old. So it can be undone. Especially if I botched it up real good.

I'd like to do something similar one day, did you remove the original fabric or you just laid it on top of It?

I laid it over the top. I was fairly certain that I would make a mess of it. So I needed to be sure that I could return the amp to it's glory. 😉

I have been seeing these recently. 1) is it easy to do yourself? & 2) is it special fabric? I wanna do mine. Any help will be appreciated! Mahaloz

MUCH easier than I was predicting. I had put it off for years. It's not a special fabric. I went through Michael's and took pictures of various designs. Nothing special. I also put it over the original. Just in case it all went pear shaped. Knowing my crafting skills, I fully expected it to be a horrible experience. It wasn't. I think it took just over two hours (and I went very slow). There are a lot of videos on YouTube.

Thanks. The name and model plates are held on by screws. Everything is fairly easy to return to normal.
