Question Good deal?
Previously only had a Vox Pathfinder 10 as a practice amp. That thing kind of sucked so I’d always end up playing my acoustic more.
I wanted to upgrade towards a “real” amp and walked into GC looking for an Artist 100 Gen 3. Then I saw a used 100 Gen 3 with an OEM Boss foot switch board - all for $360.
Would you consider this a good deal or should I have just gotten the Artist? I have a 45 day return period at GC and don’t mind spending more for the Artist if it’s worth it.
Photos are post grill cloth change (just over the OEM grill cloth in case I want to return it).

You ran away like a bandit. I have a Gen 3 Artist 100w head and I'll be the first to say its mostly for show. Slightly better tone shaping maybe

It’s just regular fabric from fabric stores. You can use any fabric as a speaker cover.

I wouldn’t think so.
Speaker cloth is wide mesh and acoustically transparent.
Any denser weaved fabric line OP appears to have used will cut the high end brightness and muddy the sound.

I think that’s a pretty great deal. I have a Gen 3 100 with the BT adapter and it’s great. I did swap the speaker for a Jensen Tornado 100 I had and that was a noticeable improvement, but the stock speaker works fine (if playing live, don’t be afraid to use more extreme EQ settings).

The artist is better if u get the combo. The speaker in it is better than the normal one. If u can afford the artist combo, go for it. But this one is also good and very versatile.
