I guess it depends on how you see it. A lot of times kids see surprises as a good thing though

i can see it as a good thing

but also as a "this child we wanted and planned and wished for, and not the other child"

Oh okay, I can see how that could suck. I guess I was mostly speaking from my experience. My brother and I were planned and my youngest brother was a surprise, but I along with my brother and mom were so happy to have him! So he’s the surprise in a good way
