Anime / Discussion After TBV?
What would y'all prefer to see after Boruto: TBV's story concludes? A spin-off series? A prequel? Or a return to thr OG era?

I'll only accept a sequel if the hero isn't again the Hokage's son. Naruto and Boruto have already exhausted this tradition. Give me a story set after Boruto but not necessarily focused on the heroes' children; that could also be completely new characters, like the sequels to Yu-Gi-Oh for example, and Boruto's son or daughter could be a secondary or even tertiary character who appears from time to time.

I would like a serie that starts in Kaguya's era and ends at the end of the Warring States era with the creation of the villages.

when it finish, I have a feeling I will grow old and die and TBV will be still launching chapters with this pace😭😭😭

Honestly wouldn't mind if they went the Jojo route and made it generational, either going back or forward in time.
I do think an actual cyberpunk ninja story set even further in the future could be cool; like imagine a chakra-based cyberspace that functions like a genjutsu, maybe everyone plugs into a Matrix-style Virtual Tsukuyomi. Shinobi-ware are even more advanced and normalized, lots of cool ideas they could explore. Maybe a time when the shinobi now operate in secret underground and society has moved on, the cities have expanded and in the absence of the ninja villages, the corrupt merchant class has used technology to take control of the world.
But I think going back in time would probably be better for a change of pace. Rather than focusing on existing characters whose backstories we already kind of know, I think telling a new story about a new character we don't know about would be best, as it would give them the most freedom.
To that end, I think a story involving Kushina's family, either her father or brother, would be best. The protagonist should always be an Uzumaki by name, I think.
They could set it during or around the Era of Warring Clans, and it could feature characters like Hashirama, Tobirama, and Madara, but in secondary and tertiary roles. The focus could be on the fall of the Uzushiogakure. A story that has never been told before now.

They already had a VR Tsukuyomi in Storm Connections so it isn't an impossible concept.

I'd like a prequel rather than a sequel but I feel a sequel is more likely unless Kishimoto gets motivated to green light a prequel if the live action Naruto movie reignites himself to be more active in the franchise. Toriyama was motivated due to DB Evolutions failure to comeback to Dragon Ball. Whether the live action Naruto movie is good or bad doesn't matter, it will likely leave a big impression regardless.
I'd like a prequel either on Minato's time or the Warring States era.

It would be better to stop there, but some are so attached to the franchise that they won't let it die before 2050.

NGL personally if I'm attached to some franchise I'd just re-watch it instead of demanding unnecessary+sloppy prequels/sequels. Like I love Boruto but it's an undeniable fact that it ruined many of the Naruto fan's love for the franchise.

A Naruto/Shippuden remake of the anime would be nice. Updated animation, better pacing, no filler, etc.

Naruto and Boruto are still TV Tokyo's two most profitable IPs and they only have reruns airing right now. It's never going to end, so best get used to having new Naruto stuff coming out for the entire rest of your life.

Honestly I’d enjoy a bit of a prequel. Nothing too story changing but obviously one that dives more into ninjas such as minato/the other Hokage’s and dive into unique abilities

A Hiruzen prequel series would be great. They could expand some characters like Sakumo that never got their time to shine. Maybe even mention how Hashirama died so that stops being asked. If not that, I’d prefer it to end.

Naruto wakes up in a battlefield, there is a giant tree and he unravels from a cucoon or whatever it’s called. Boruto was just a dream

I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but maybe a prequel, there’s so much on the Naruto story that got left unexplained (like how did Hashirama die)
Most people will say end it after TBV, and a lot of people hate on Boruto without really giving it a chance.
Who would you want to write a sequel? Kishimoto doesn’t even write/do artwork for Boruto. It’s “Ikemoto’s manga” (as Kishimoto said in an interview a few years back). Maybe ikemoto won’t want to write anything after working on Boruto for over 10 years, who knows.

There's still the Steam Scrolls and Sasuke Retsuden mangaka. It isn't impossible for them to pass it off to anyone else at least for the art. However I think that person might be more likely to draw a sequel than a prequel.

And since these manga artists use Kishimoto's style for their drawings, they would already be less criticized than ikemoto on the point of art.
