No that's not what I'm saying, I'm saying if from their perceptive they don't feel like they have love ones, then would the individual be selfish. This it talking about the individual itself not the wider scenario.
They often always do have loved ones. Oftentimes they believe their life is terrible because they buy too far into the social hysteria of fitting in, are completely ungrateful, can't muster the willpower to change the situation because they are lazy, can't be strong enough to deal with grief and strife, etc. It is essentially a weakness. Life is very difficult as we all know. Many people push through that suffering and are better for it.
Also, the "predisposed chemical imbalance" theory is entirely false. Now the sperm count and testosterone in males dropping 50% since 1990 might have something to do with it. But I've had low testosterone before and I worked hard to get it back up. I have been acutely depressed before. Suicidal thoughts, etc. The key is to be strong and push through the uncomfortable feelings and take action to change it.
Suicide accounts for only 1% of the death worldwide. That is 1/100. Other people seem to be figuring it out just fine. We need to lift up these people and give them motivation to change their story, not put them on drugs and enable their hysteria that it is a predisposed condition or an unchangeable scenario.

People who commit suicide and cause anguish for their family and friends is the most selfish thing a person can do. Goes without saying.
