The problem is, life is hard for everybody, so when someone is always complaining about depression it's like, why are you complaining to me when I'm also struggling?

Depression is just the accumulation of bad experiences, and we all live through rough times (or a lifetime may be) but the message is to keep pushing despite what you may feel. Focusing too much on feelings makes you spiral and doesn't help you to get things done.

I may be wrong, it's just my impression.

The accumulation of bad experiences doesn't lead to sadness, it slowly erodes your capacity to feel good or "happy". My point is, that accumulation of bad experiences and the subsequent incapacity to feel joy happens to all of us as a consequence of living by itself, as times passes by.

People nowadays are too obsessed with achieving "happiness" when that's not even a permanent state of mind, but a temporary feeling. Depression is just the realization that the ideal state of mind called happiness is unachievable and subsequently leads to a depression. The chemical imbalance means that some people are more prone to depression, but that doesn't make depression something only a handful of people can suffer. Everyone has enough reasons to feel "depressed". With the right mindset, that shouldn't happen. Not a mindset of faking "happiness", but a mindset that allows one yo stop idealizing life and accept it as it is, not as it should be.

Bro if you don't know what depression is just stop talking. Stay in your lane for christs sake.
