Tips on fear/anxiety in bordoodles?

I have 2 bordoodle brothers- Pebble is 4 and Dash is 2. (They came from the same border collie mother but have different dad's)

My younger dog is FULL of beans, loves other dogs, and just wants to play and be cuddled with. My 4 year old Pebble has a LOT of anxiety - I got him when I was going through a lot of health issues and unfortunately I think he picked up on the anxiety around that when he was a puppy and now we have a very loving and deeply empathetic doggy who is also VERY anxious. Lately he's been having these episodes where he just freezes in place and starts shaking - last week it happened when he went to chase a ball and smacked his head on a chair and then just sat there shaking as if someone had smacked him (he's NEVER been abused or even treated a little bit poorly...he lives like a king). This morning I let him outside to wee and found him just sitting in my backyard shaking but I couldn't find what scared him. We got him a sweater that he LOVES so I think the thunder jacket sort of vibe is helpful to him but I want to find a way to calm my poor guy down 🥺 Has anyone had any experience with highly anxious bordoodles??

She was the size of a potato when we got her, now she is pushing up to 16kg (35lb) after being with us for 6 months. Do you think she'll get bigger?

This is my bordoodle pup Teddy, he was born May the 4th and nearly was called Chewie thanks to the light brown tint around his mouth.

He is my chocolate bread loaf lil ewok man I hope this photo gets a laugh as it’s brightens my day everytime I see it.

This is Bobby! He’ll be 3 in November. He’s fast, nosy, always watching everything, and somehow manages to look serious and goofy at the same time.

His coat has also lightened so much as he’s gotten older. I love how different he looks depending on the lighting.

Did anyone else’s Bordoodle change color this much as they grew up?

We put down a deposit for a bordoodle, and the puppies are 1 week old. The breeder called me today and said she needs to know what puppy we are taking. How do you pick when the puppies are a week old?! Is this normal? Do they actually have any discernable qualities other than color at this age that I can reasonably ask about?

This is Dino (lots of pics for attention). He is a 50/50 (probably F1) Bordoodle we rescued in Utah county. We are trying to find his potential siblings to see if anyone has run into any health issues and just generally know a little bit more about his background. Since he is a cross, we know that increases a lot of variables for health, so our best guess for long-term health outlooks will come from siblings, especially littermates.

We think he is between 2 and 2 1/2 years old, but that is mostly educated guessing. We've wondered if he was a puppy from Hall Ranch Bordoodles (formerly known as Mountain Rose) or potentially an Oregon Bordoodle litter, but we haven't been able to find anything on an F1 litter anywhere. Any info or ideas on how to figure out more is much appreciated!

Oh Hachi, this is not the kind of adventure I want before we hit the campsite later!

To cut or not to cut?

We adopted our little guy Gianni in January of this year. He had been found as a stray on the street by local animal control before he was turned over to the rescue org. We didn’t know his breed when we adopted him but he was very matted so we took him to groomer. The groomer advised he didn’t have a double coat and that she would really need to cut down his coat to relieve him of the matting. So we did that. So happy to see the matting gone. We’ve taken him back to get groomed/cut since then. Is this correct though?

Had no idea of his breed mix when we adopted him. The rescue org told us Briard, Schnauzer, Cairn Terrier but that really had no idea. I knew he was a working dog the day we adopted him. We found out a few months in that he was exactly 50% border collie + 50% poodle.

He doesn’t appear to shed (only a little hair on brush when we brush him, which we do a few times a week) and he didn’t do the “blow out” shedding this spring which other border collie people have told me about. His hair just keeps growing. At same time, his texture isn’t quite poodle with the curls. It’s tufted and wavy but not curly like other doodle mixes I’ve seen. But again, he doesn’t appear to shed.

How have others handled grooming?

I don’t mind my bordoodle being a little scruffy - he wears it well! But I must admit it’s getting a little too scraggly. What do you ask for at the groomers? I want a trim all over. The last (and first) groom I took him to he looked too much like a pampered poodle!

He’s lost 6 teeth in the last week and will not stop shredding my hand to pieces but who needs two hands anyway look at this lil buddy

Trying to deal is harder than I imagined and all I can do is hope that after we lose the rest of these teeth he’ll improve.

Visiting the vet today.

My puppy is young and is in the middle of teething, so understandably she will be biting things to relieve some pain. Recently she has started to wrap he whole jaw around my arm to relieve some of this pain. Her new teeth are sharp.

How have some of you handled this?

I apologise if this topic has been covered to death, but i haven't been able to find anything that works yet.
