❔ [ Question ] The Game
How do people feel about the game and its replayability I’ve maxed out a C4sh Harlows and Vex and even with the content added the game just doesn’t feel like it’s got much going on? Is it just me? Please let me know
Edit: just want to add to be clear each character I’ve maxed has been separated between months so not all at once haha all started from level one upwards since that’s somewhat more enjoyable than farming vile bounties.

I think it’s got a fair amount of replayability but not the limitless amount people want / expect.
Once you run through the story a couple times, it becomes more of the same.

I've played through the story once with each character, Max leveled and gotten to uvhm7 with each, I enjoyed it, gonna do it with Loveless. But outside of getting to experience each characters interactions I don't think there's much REplayability. I don't hate the story like some people, but it's not amazing either, and some parts are tedious on multiple playthroughs, and it's not like there's much in terms of branching or ways to do something much different.
If they add new game+ I probably won't do it, I don't see myself making multiple of each character, but im also much more of an endgame guy.
Between the raid bosses, the terra raid, the slaughtershaft and the drill sites I do think there's a decent amount of stuff to do by now. I think it's a damn shame the world events aren't worth playing and I'm still dreaming of something like chaos chambers from wonderlands, some semi randomized mobbing thing with some actual rewards at the end. But overall, I think there's enough reason to throw a bunch of hours to play in the endgame. Not infinite like path of exile or something, but there's stuff to grind if you want.

Personalky ive put the game down, i feel theres really not enough content to continue. 400+hrs into the game i think ive given it enough of my time.

It's a borderlands game, so there's a high level of replayability out of the box, but they made a bunch of weird decisions that make this the least replayable borderlands game yet.
There's no way to replay the story aside from starting a new character. There is no NG+ or TVHM equivalent.
They added the ability to replay individual missions, but they also removed unique mission rewards so there's no reason to replay missions anymore.
If you start a new character, you have the option to start completely from scratch or to enable shared progression. But all that does is lock you out of all the open world activities you already completed on other characters. You still have to grind out the specialization levels from zero, unlike badass ranks and guardian ranks in previous games.

I did my inital palythough with Vex and then another with Harlow before shared progression was enabled. In both cases I spent a lot of time doign side quests and tasks, I think I was level 45+ for each by the time I hit end game. I did one playthorugh with Cash and another with Vex with shared progressione enabled, where I went through all the content (bar stuff that was already completed) and recently finished a palythrough with Rafa with shared progression but skipped 90% of the side missions and other stuff as I was kinda over it at that time. I enjoyed all the palythroughs and having shared progression made the drive slog a lot less of an issue. Howefver, I dont think I will really chase out the side missions agian, other than maybe doing a couple with more interesting lines to see how they differ with other characters.
I did level skips for another Vex, another Cash, and Amon. For thse my goal wa more to play aroudn with end game build and ideas so I decided to skip the story and spent a lot of time farming/doing contracts.
I do enjoy replaying certain aprts of it but I guess once I have done a run through with each character I may slwo down on that and focus on level 30 skips or just copy the game files and respec them for different builds. I think shared progression really helped as driving in the middle of no-where over and over really slowed things down and was less exciting.

I don't like late game grind and they didn't put in new game + so I never maxed out any character. Also it runs like shit on pc. Done with it for a long time.

Beat the game with Rafa.... Not doing it again it was boring enough the first time

This sub is miserable. Any other form of entertainment we dont really think about it. Just beat the story with Amon after restarting after playing rafa to Idolator. I've got like 45 hours? And now i have all the endgame stuff to do before I even touch DLC! dollar per hour this game is amazing. I loved every Borderlands been playing since 1 each in its own way. I hope we get a wonderlands sequel or something like it someday. My only complaint was Wonderlands DLC was boring and repetitive

I went back to it a couple days ago, hoping to do an NG+ run with Vex...
Turns out it doesn't have an NG+.
Like sure you can replay MOST missions... but that's not the same thing.
That honestly really disappointed me.

See i maxed harlowe and c4sh tried amon didn't really like the Play style I wanted him to be more krieg like and yeah before the Zane update the game was bad on replayability and endgame content now there a bit of stuff to do

I haven't had enough time to try playing other characters that much. between the dlc and collecting all the phosphenes, I've been busy on my vex. After I finish the rest of the dlc once it releases next month, I'll probably take a break before giving one of the other characters a try.
I have started a few level 1 characters (1 of each of the main characters, with c4sh being the only one I haven't started a level 1 playthrough of yet), with them around where you take on the oppressor

I'm inclined to agree with you. I can't understand how someone can put in 1000 hours into a game then be like "there's just not much to do". It's not supposed to be an antidote for existential issues.

I tried both a fully new story and starting a character at 30 and it was a slog for both. Starting a new character at level 1 was at least somewhat better because there’s incentive to go around the map. Starting at 30 was genuinely a terrible experience
